GVWR is max capacity....4 persons + luggage. I checked my jackstands and they are 15" minimum and I like them set a couple inches higher than that to be able to move around underneath easier so that 2 ton jack would be the one I would need for sure. My old Craftsman goes to 19", the same as that HF one.

1.5 ton is more than enough, unless you're lifting the entire car with it. But, you shouldn't be lifting an entire car with just one jack, so that is a moot point.

I ordered one of these ECS jack pad adapters.

GVWR is not the vehicle weight, but as someone else already stated, the max load. My car was weighed in at 3310lbs with half a tank of fuel and no spare or anything else in the car. A convertible will weight more, and so will xi models. ZHPs in general weigh more than their standard non-ZHP counterparts. You can expect a sedan to weigh no more than 3350lbs.

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

I've been using one of these for years. It's held up very well to many autocrosses and track events. It might be time to upgrade to a new one.

I've been seeing 59.99 coupons for this jack for at least a year but at least with this deal, you don't need the coupon.

Just a friendly warning, be careful with these jacks. I've had one break at the track, car was on a level surface but the jack twisted and snapped one of its mounts. This was years ago so they might have changed/updated the design.

I've seen others fail at the track too, I remember one where the jacking pad itself snapped in half. Issue with the fingers carrying all the weight and not the pad it self. This also could have been changed or updated.

Well here she is, got it a few days ago. Went with the 2 ton. Pretty nice and not to heavy, I believe it's 45 lbs.
