Do people not just "reglue" the original alcantara?

ZHPs (and all E46s for that matter) were never offered with alcantara fabric on the headliner and pillars. If your car has that then it is aftermarket.

You can re-glue the pillars, the problem is the material is thin and if you get to much glue it can wick into the material and stain it.

The headliner is an issue because the foam deteriorates. The foam connects the material to the headliner board so a layer of foam is still glued to both materials but its not longer connected to itself. You can't just glue it back together unfortunately.

Is BM3109 back in stock? Last i heard from VeteranCo was that it was permanently NLA.

What George said. The roof uses foam backed material and should be replaced with the same. The pillar material does not have the foam backing.

I just got 2 quotes around $700 for the roof, sunroof (they replace the sunroof material even though its good so it matches) and all 6 pillars.

Hmmm. OK. Well I am the OG owner of my ZHP, so whatever the material is on the A and C pillars is coming "unglued". Will try the "tear mender" route and will use as little as possible to avoid it wicking through.

Luckily my roof material seems solid. Nothing sagging.

Been sagging in my 2005 for the past 8 years or so. I found headliner pins did the trick

I removed the fabric from the A,B,C pillars in my 2005 Silbergrau ZHP. The A/B pillars look very good. The C pillars look "ok".

Not planning to do anything else at this time, I can live with that.

I had initially re-glued black thin fabric with thin material on my A pillars. Needless to say 10 years later, they look beigish-grey.

How much would you spend for a Headliner repair?

I got a quote of around $275 for the removal, sanding, and repair of my ZHP headliner (no sunroof, sedan).

I got another quote for $500 to have it done in suede, including the A and B pillars.

Are these reasonable prices? Is there anyone in the East Texas/Houston area that is especially good and deserving of recommendation?

I just got a quote for $350, but I'm in Tampa, and there are a LOT of upholstery places in my part of town. Outside of my part of town the quotes are consistently $500. And that is NO pillars, no sunroof. Just Headliner. But I have seen it done, and it is a lot of work. So anything under $400 is a deal. take it!
