Grabs and pulls hard. No real documentation prior to my ownership, but vehicle has been dealer maintained its entire life. Maybe you'll have more luck sourcing those dealership records.

It's an 18-year-old vehicle so it's not perfect but it is in great shape in my opinion. Some exterior scratches and dings but nothing overwhelming (see pictures). There is a small chip in the windshield, smaller than a dime. Interior has held up very well for being a convertible.
