I don't think a belt failing that way is typical? Something up with the pulley?

Yeah I would've thought the belt would just break. The AC compressor seized, which I hypothesize one of the ribs on the pulley may have worse tolerances than the others and cut through that section

    Makes sense.

What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #[emoji239]

First, happy Father's Day to all the dads on the forum, hope you guys had a great day!

I got out my steam cleaner I got for a gift and cleaned off my dirty engine bay on my ZHP today.

You can see the fuel rail cover (in the background) still dirty . . .

The steam cleaner did an amazing job cleaning the exterior of my CCV Replacement kit making it shine again The plastics in my engine bay that were steamed were left with a nice clean satin finish.

    Very pleased with the results

And on a more real note, Happy Father?s Day to all you dads out there. I?m still around and this is still an amazing mature group considering all the shenanigans we can do with our cars. Keep up the great living and all the pleasures that cars bring to your lives. Enjoy every moment and never take for granted that one smile or compliment directed at you from friends and especially loved ones.

I ordered two ZKW headlight lens (ZHP), black alarm sensor cover panel (ZHP), two titan-shadow lower steering wheel trim (one for ZHP and one for M3), two A-pillar airbag covers, six DINAN N-Series Performance Ignition Coils - Black (M3) today.

Since I have the DINAN Performance ignition coils in my ZHP I wanted to freshen up the M3 with new ignition coils as well. The headlight lens on my ZHP are a mess so I felt it was time to replace them with the ZKW headlight lens.

Tomorrow I will get the steam cleaner and start cleaning my Alcantara steering wheel before swapping it back into my ZHP. Pending the results, I will then work on my M3's Alcantara steering wheel.

Engine bay looks fantastic! I?m considering doing the same for mine. Not sure how I?d get to all of the lower parts of the engine bay.

Care to share your process or a YT link you used? Any other chemicals? I imagine a few detailing brushes and APC?

    Thanks!!!!

PS-Let us know how the alcantara steering wheel comes out too!

Since I lost coolant on my way to LV last 4th of July.

    https://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/show...nding-Problems

I had my cooling system pressure tested to 18 psi. Replaced the Reservoir cap and bleeder valve replaced. No leaks.

Also had the ZHP an undercarriage and mechanical inspection. It's all good. Now, ready to return trip to LV.

Zhp will probably be parked in the garage for the next week or so at least.
Car died on me at a fuel station due to low battery (no low battery voltage warning on IC). Had to jump start using another car and keep the cables connected for a good amount so battery could be charged, since the 1.5 year old bosch reman alternator seems to have stopped working.
