    1997 BMW 328i- S52 swapped- Slicktop- $11k

This is a nearly complete running/driving project.

I've had this car for about two and a half years at this point and have lost interest in finishing it due to the number of other projects I have going. This car was built out of some of the better parts I had around after parting out a number of other E36's. Car is a 170k-ish mile 328i, alpine white over black, non-sunroof, fixed rear seat model. I got it with a blown headgasket on the M52 and an automatic. This is the stiffest E36 chassis and probably most desirable track car platform short of a LTW. Car had some rocker rot when I bought it, as well as a number of dents all around the car. It did have all original body panels minus the front bumper, some of which I swapped out for different OEM panels. There are variations in the Alpine as a result. I replaced the rotten portions of the rockers, painted with a 2k paint, and cavity waxed all areas that I could reach.

Car has the following modifications, will have to look back at my records for more specifics:

    Drivetrain
-170k S52 out of a 1999 M3 auto. Oil pump nut safety wired. M50 manifold, 3.5" intake elbow, 540i MAF, AFE intake, shorty headers. Bolt-ons mostly came from a different car, which was supposedly tuned for these modifications. Cruise, SAP, and rear O2's deleted. Stock midpipe with cats. M3 catback off a Nevada car.
-155k ZF5 out of a 2001 330i, aftermarket clutch, not sure of brand. New Rogue Engineering shifter.
    -Zionsville radiator and fan setup.

    Suspension/Chassis
    -E30 M3 aftermarket front LCA's
    -Poly bushings all around
    -Rear subframe has solid bushings
-ISC coilovers, approximately 25k on them
    -90mm? stud conversion
-E36 M3 front subframe with X brace and weld in reinforcement plates
-E36 M3 rear subframe/trailing arms/etc. Weld in reinforcement plates on subframe.
-Weld in RTAB reinforcement plates. Weld in rear subframe reinforcement plates.
-996 brakes all around, powdercoated white. Calipers rebuilt after powdercoat.
-SSR Integral wheels, brand new General tires
-3.23 LSD out of an M3
    -SSI undertray

    Other
-Manual E90 front seats out of a sedan
    -Euro washer fluid tank/setup
    -Extensive maintenance done/wear items replaced
-M3 side moldings and twisty side skirts

    Needs:
Probably a weekend worth of work. It's been months since I've touched this, so I'm sure there are other issues that will need to be sorted once the car is being driven regularly. I have put roughly 30-40 miles on it as it sits, however. I know it needs the following:

    -Coding for 5 speed swap
-A/C compressor is noisy, system is complete otherwise. I attempted to fill with a DIY kit and found the compressor noise.
-Steering column had a bad bearing, my fault. The "feel" is still not right. I have a column to include.
-Rear parcel shelf replaced. I have one to include.
-Rotors are either dragging on pads or rubbing on dust shields or both
    -Alignment
    -Cabin air filter replaced
    -Body has dings and dents
    -Headliner is sagging

$11k firm. I probably don't want your trade.

Located in Stow, MA. No test drives until the weather is nicer. Car is registered currently. Send a PM if you're a serious buyer.

Sold that about a year and a half ago I think. It was a lot of fun, and I put about 10k miles or so on the car, but I just didn't drive it enough.
