GLWS Travis!
EDITED 6 Jan 22: Updated mileage (191k) & clutch info
EDITED 21 Oct 21: Price reduced to $5,999
For sale is my three-pedal, four-door ZHP (looking to get into a convertible ZHP next):
VIN: WBAEV53454KM05667
Year: 2004
Make: BMW
Model: 330i
Price: $7,000
Mileage: 191k+
Transmission type: six-speed manual
Body type: sedan
Color: Silver Grey Metallic exterior, grey leather interior, silver cube trim
Packages: Performance Package (ZHP), Premium Package (ZPP)
Title status: clean, in-hand, Ohio title
The big bad points up front:
- This car has been in two collisions (one before I owned it, the other in August 2011) damaging the front driver-side corner. Neither accident totaled the car, only causing body & suspension damage that’s been repaired (accident thread with pictures here: http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?4382). The accident when I owned it required the front–left corner being pulled/straightened (& resprayed).
- The paint has never been detailed / corrected / waxed / etc., except for the repair-related respray of the front corner. There are normal small scratches, nicks, dings, rock chips, etc. that are consistent with a seventeen-year-old daily driver. There is a scratch on the trunk from a partially opened garage door & a dent where (I presume) the previous owner pried off the trunk lip spoiler. The paint on the roof rack cover panels is starting to fade.
- Sunroof is inoperative. I suspect the right-side cable track broke/cracked: when trying to open to the vent position, the left rear side lifts up while the right doesn’t.
Less-serious negatives:
- The clutch has started to show signs of slipping (e.g. accelerating uphill in high gear).
- The steering has 1–2° of play (I suspect the steering rack as there is no play in the column or tie rods; I replaced the steering guibo with no change).
- I installed a UUC double-shear selector rod (DSSR) that I suspect is the wrong part: it greatly increased the shifter’s side-to-side play/looseness instead of eliminating it.
- The A, B, & C pillars have had their anthracite fabric removed (except for the passenger’s A & B); I attempted to re-glue the As myself (using 3M Super 77), but it didn’t turn out as smooth & clean as I had hoped, especially on the airbag panels. The passenger’s B is starting to peel near the seat belt opening.
- The floor mats are pretty worn, as are the armrest & driver’s outboard seat bolster.
- Both instrument cluster knobs’ rotation function tabs are broken (only big impact is the inability to set the clock).
With the negatives out of the way, here are the reasons somebody (you?) would want my car:
- It’s a ZHP that runs & drives like one! She still pulls hard & handles corners like a Performance Package-equipped BMW should (suspension refreshed with all OE/OEM, stock-spec components at 130k mi).
- Non-cold-weather-package-equipped: no leaky headlight washers or rigidity-reducing pass-through rear seats
- Enthusiast-owned since 2007 & 45k miles
- It’s been maintained per Mike Miller’s Lifetime Maintenance Schedule (previously the “Old-School Maintenance Schedule”): oil changed every half-interval (every ~7,500 miles) with BMW 5W-30, 0W-30, or Mobil 1 0W-40 & Mann (OEM) filters, annual brake fluid flushes, biannual coolant flushes, etc.. Maintenance logs at Motor Log Book: http://www.motorlogbook.com/tclark/ZHP
- Zero rust (lived in the southwest for the past decade).
Modifications/Upgrades
- PlastiDipped kidneys & lower grilles
- Weisslicht angel eyes (w/dimmer knob in drug bin)
- OE (Euro) clear corner lights

I had chance to drive this ZHP some years ago and it was in very good shape. Travis is a car enthusiast. As a bonus, he is a very cool guy.
