If your car had BMW Assist (evidenced by the SOS button) you should be able to connect your phone via Bluetooth: check discoverable BT devices from your phone w/in about 2 min of starting your car. The pairing key is listed on the BT module's label, in the trunk.

If you don't already know the BMWMOFO's (BMW Motorsports Of Oklahoma)then I suggest you get to know them. They're great guys. They have weekly thursday meets, runs, Karting get togethers etc etc.

It also depends on what version the bluetooth module is, and what phone Cody has. If the phone is too new for the bluetooth module to recognize, it won't pair up. And those newer bluetooth modules aren't cheap!
My mother's E46 has that problem. Her iPhone is too new to pair with the BT module.
