Looking to buy my first ZHP

any year but looking for 04-05
Looking for blue, white, mainly but any color will do.
6 speed MT only
between 60k-100k-ish miles
2 or 4 doors welcomed
no salvage titles or rebuilds
prefer clean carfax!
less mods the better

I will probably be going out there (10hr drive) and test drive the car then bring it to bimmer tech inc for a PPI. I have already talked to the dealer and shop and have it all lined it. Car fax says there was a wreck to the rear. Makes me a little weary.

Good luck finding your ZHP.

You should know, however, that clean carfax does not equal clean history. You should worry yourself more with the current state of the car, because if it was fixed well, the only difference between clean history and accident history is whether or not you know about it.

That Imola looks like a nice car, not a common color combo. I hope you can grab a good deal on it if it checks out. Welcome to site, btw.

When I spoke with the dealer, said it was a trade in. WBAEV534X4KM07270 is the correct vin. I will have to ask about that fee.

So it's at 69K miles and almost 9+ years old, things to look at and expect to need to do (I.e., budget for them and use to your advantage when negotiating):
- front control arm bushings
- cooling system refresh
- valve cover gasket replacement & new spark plugs
- battery (first one lasted probably 5 years, time to replace again)

Not trying to scare you, just want you to be aware that these beautiful cars are not without their maintenance quirks.

Thanks for the heads up BCS_ZHP. I have learned that these cars can be quite quirky from my last bmw. Good little defense though for negotiating.

Somewhere around here we have a "can you look at a car for me" thread. Don't jump on that 10 hour drive until you reach out and see if there's a family member nearby who can take a look at it for you. I know I readily do this for folks with cars for sale in the DC area and lots of others here in our family do it too.
