Sorry for the minor off topic, but can a full size tire/wheel fit in our spare wheel compartment? My car didn't come with a spare and I haven't tried to fit anything in there yet.

Yes. An 18" will fit perfect.

My old car. Stocky is a 17, Enkei is an 18.
