Found this gem browsing cars.com earlier today... 1 owner no reported accidents.

Damn, that car looks really really clean for that price. Also, what's up with the seat lifts? Those don't look like mine??? I'd like to know the maintenance history/vehicle history on this car. I think that price is low????or am I losing my mind?

Edit: Just read that they are leatherette covered seats. Maybe originals were recovered. They still look nice, at least in the pictures.

Clean. Shame it's dove interior, though. Not a fan, but I'm sure someone will love it.

I don't think the price is "low." It's a decent deal, but it already has 104k miles on it, and certain parts of the interior look kinda beat up. You don't know the maintenance on the car, etc.

I know dove gray is not a fan favorite, but I personally like it. That is a nice combo at a great price. If it were a sedan, I'd have a deposit on it already!

I actually want a coupe. Not sure how much I'd like it, but I'd wanna try it.

I gotta say, I don't want a coupe, but for Alpine White, it is certainly making me reconsider. My first question would be why a 1 owner, clean car ended up at auction? Either the original owner didn't know the enthusiast following behind what they had, or something was wrong with it.

I still think there might be something to it. Not sure if an accident or mechanical issue.

Nice car. The dove is perfect for this car IMO (and it's my least fav color). Dove + black door panels and a few black accents here and there would look really nice...

Amen to this! I think if either it were a sedan or had a different interior I would be going for this... but I won't settle for both.

Not everyone is enthusiast - to some, it is just an "old" BMW. We can only hope to take advantage of these opportunities!

A great looking car. I personally like the dove. Not sure about the leatherette, but whatever.. I personally don't like buying modified cars as they have typically been driven hard as hell... Still looks good though.

You know, guys, the part of the listing where it says "leatherette" is just a regurgitation of the standard features of a 3 Series. Also says 'myrtle wood trim', and a plethora of other inaccuracies. Pics have wrinkles, like leather. My 325i has leatherette. Say what you will about it, it never gets wrinkles. Stuff wears like iron. Pretty sure the car in this listing is leather.

^ My leatherette cracked. By now the repair is mediocre. See here. (http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?6691-Mafia-experience-with-Leatherette-crack&highlight=leatherette)

maybe I'm on borrowed time. My Sand leatherette is at 106,000 miles, and looks like new. Car has always been garaged (usually 24/7). maybe that has a lot to do with it.

Taking a close look at the seats, it appears to have double stitching (i.e. a stitch on either side of a seam) indicating real leather.

The more I look at those seats the more I like the color, surprising as I was sure I hated the gray interior.... :dunno

^ yes, I agree, the ripples on the bolster mean softer material (i.e., leather) as opposed to leatherette which is thick and tighter (as jgt_ZHP indicated).
