So on Thursday as I was driving home, at about 5:20pm, right at the exit of 59/Shepherd, I saw a TiAg sedan that appeared to be a 323/328i, debadged, with an aftermarket exhaust. no big deal, i see E46's all the time. as I passed though, I noticed a ZHPMafia.com sticker on his rear passenger window. If you're on here dude, and still check in, identify yourself! I have never seen a ZHPMafia sticker on any car ever. Thought it was cool.

I saw the Silvergrey ZHP coupe I see around town every once in a while up close and personal yesterday as he was right in front of me. Very very clean, nicely maintained, but he didn't pay attention when I passed by him, despite the quick honk. :(

I was stopping by my office late last night for just a few minutes, so I parked in the 15 minute spot near the main entrance to the building. As I started heading toward to main door, an older man walking in the same direction suddenly mumbled, nice car is it a 330? I said, yea it is! He replied, is it a zhp? Smilingly I replied, you know it! :o Turns out he just bought a black 05 Coupe ZHP, which was just parked around the corner. Although we work in the same building, we've never met before. So we ended up chatting for good ten minutes about our cars. He seems like a pretty cool guy who's totally into cars. He said that he's heard about the forum and read a few things on here. Later, I went to take a look at his ride and it's pretty sweet. Black on black with 70k miles, 5 speed. Now I have someone to compare notes with :p Either way, nice way to end my day.:fistpump

Justin just called me from VMI to let me know he saw an Imola ZHP on the parade deck. So he walks over, introduces himself, and proceeds to ask the guy (VMI class of 1976) if he knows what he has. The fella says, "yeah... It's a BMW 330i 6 speed" (i.e. He did not know he had a ZHP) :)

I guess they talked for about 15 minutes and the guy was really into his car. Might become a member as he has my email now.

Red Imola Coupe rolling up behind me today coming home from work. I slowed down to let them drive by so I could get their attention. I look over to give the "what's up" head nod and there is this Hot blonde driving it! She looked at me like I was trying to pick up on her....great. So much for recruiting another member. I agree. I've been seeing them all over the place recently. By normal looking people who seem to have no idea. I used to wave all the time in the zhp. Would very occasionally get a wave back.

Saw the black coupe ZHP of the dude that works at my organization. Poor car needs some lovin' condition wise. All the usual weathered bits plus it's filthy inside and out! Wheels are rashed up and you can see that it's been in an accident because the hood doesn't quite line up with the fender. Re-spray is evident too. The dude is like a woman, he's got his living room in the back seat, full of clothing and news papers. Blasphemy!!! :crying

My guess is that the vast majority of ZHPs sold were to non-enthusiasts, meaning the likelihood of most of them being red is much smaller. Red is harder to resell than a common color such as silver or black and a non-enthusiast is far more likely to sell their car than the enthusiast counterpart, so they'll choose the color that's most compatible with the market.

Of course, that is what I "think" is the reason. I wish I saw a lot more Imola ones on the road in the rare occasion I do actually see a ZHP.

There were two somewhat high mileage imola red/black zhp vert's for sale here in GA back when I first started looking for mine. Both 6mts and both were pretty ragged out. The one I drove at a local ford dealer had cracked seats that had been repaired with that fake vinyl repair stuff and it was smoking and reeking of burning oil after a very short test ride (no I didn't rag it out).....but the fact that there were two identical cars for sale within a very short distance of each other was interesting.

I've seen three at one time (mine, BP's, and Chad44's), however there's Cameron's as well... so there's 4 Imola Red ZHP's around where I live....

Yes I do believe that makes a big difference, especially when compared to the north bay. I lived in Marin county for a while, (and live just north of it now). Marin county is one of the richest counties in the country but the only cars you ever see are stupid priuses and other hybrids.

Go down to LA and it's a super car bonanza! My girlfriends family lives in West Hills. Once a month there's like a 200+ car meet up 3 blocks from her house. North Bay Area doesn't have anything like that. We have meetings about how to get rid of cars :(

Briefly met a friend of a friend of a friend (female) who is the original owner of an '05 silver coupe MT with Alcantara steering wheel that she ordered/bought that way. She knew she had the "performance package" but didn't know what a ZHP was nor what was actually part of that package. The car looked good. I told her about the mafia but she wasn't interested... she likes her car but is not into cars. Interesting.
