Every weekday I see a dark (grey/black) ZHP vert on rt543 at the same time every time! I just cannot tell you all how much I want to stop him and be all like "OMG I luv ur ZHP! Leik u shud join dis group called ZHPMafia..."

A couple of the main things for the ZPP would be the auto-dim mirror and power lumbar adjustment on the seats. Seems like it was pretty rare on 2004 ZHPs for some reason. I think I read somewhere once that it wasn't even available in 04 on the ZHP but I have my doubts about that. Nice looking car BTW.

Not a ZHP but I saw one of these parked just down the street from my place today. Pretty rare I'd think......

Saw an Imola sedan leaving Corsicana, Texas westbound on 31 at about 4:00 pm today. I was in my tahoe, so now chance to flash. I was headed the other way on my way home from Austin.

Got to meet JKO today, he came by my office. We walked out and drooled over each others' cars. He was nice enough to let me borrow his rain-x to sample. Very nice guy, very nice car. A lot of mods, most DIY if I'm not mistaken.

Got to see black gloss grills up close. I like.

Lumbar was a premium package only feature, which many ZHPs were ordered without (probably since a 330 ZHP with premium package approached M3 prices)

Yesterday I was on a 3 lane highway and all of a sudden (I was on the middle lane) I had another Imola Red ZHP sedan on my left, and another Imola Red sedan on my right. Had my phone on the pocket and I was not able to get out to take a pic. We all looked at each other and laughed. The one on my right was an older guy (in his 60's) with his family, car looked stock but in good shape. The one on my left side was guy in his 40's that used to track his car (he is actually one of my dads clients so I "know who he is"), his car has UUC TSE3 exhaust, dinan intake, dinan software, and painted trims.

This morning while refueling I had a black zhp sedan in front of me. That one is actually the previous car of a friend of mine and has a ESS supercharger, LSD, Brembo brakes on all four corners, etc. etc. etc.

We many ZHP's here in Puerto Rico. I could say that I see one or more every two days. I was told that supposedly the BMW dealer here (we only have one dealer on the island) ordered only 330i's with the zhp from 2004-2005. But 330ci's with the performance package had to be ordered by the client, and only had sports package in stock.

The most random event occurred just now....didn't spot a ZHP, but I did see 3 E46s and an Aston Martin within 2 sec of one another.
On the 60 fwy, first a silver grey E46 M3 pulls up to my left but I didn't notice, I pull two lanes to the left and end up on his left side, doesn't even look even with windows down.
Then, a black E46 M3 vert showed up in the carpool lane. Then an imola 330i. And then finally, a silver DB9.
Guess something's going down in the area...

Saw a beautiful '05 vert in Hermosa Beach. Was about to put a card on it and the owner came out. Original owner, all orginal on the car, guy in his high 50's, low 60's maybe. Told him about the "zhp car club", which he said he heard of but decided not to join. Didn't push it cuz you could tell he liked the car, but just not THAT into it.

On my way to work I followed a very clean Silbergrau M3 out of my neighborhood, had an AW M3 pass the two of us (& wave!), & saw an IR ZHP vert at work! I didn't have time to leave a note for the IR at work, but if I see it again I shall inform him / her that the Mafia has noticed his / her presence . . . :mafia

Ten minutes later I saw a silver gray coupe zhp in Escondido at the Promenade shopping center.

Spotted 2 ZHP coupes yesterday on Newbury Street in Boston. Both parked on the street. One was Titanium Silver, the other, Sparkling Graphite, which was parked behind an early (V8) Sprint Blue Audi S5 Coupe. Both ZHPs were very clean!

Heh, close by! I live in West Sacramento. I've made many trips to Recycle Road, and I am SO happy to see that my parts hunting for this car is over. I bought the majority of my stuff at BM Tech Auto on Sunrise Blvd. Once I am up and running we should nab a few pictures.

Hahaha, I've seen those youtube videos each a million times (like most of you too I bet!). I'm actually not sure what it was, but I was completely awe struck on the sound. It kept me on my toes from start up (I was like Whoa! WTF!?) then he/she simply pulled out of the parking lot and casually drove off, but the sound was amazing. Never gunned it, but OMG that sound was perfection - sounded like some sophisticated exhaust. Music to my ears - just amazingly amplified, yet so suave.

Define early model; if you mean an early ZHP, then they definitely weren't the base model steelies. Those are only 16", which don't clear the front brakes...
There's a guy who parks in the same parking lot I do at work. He runs an E46 coupe that has 17" steelies. They are an option to get I think as winter wheels, but he's the only guy I've seen actually run them. Everyone else I've seen them they were only in pictures.

I've spotted two convertibles recently!

First was yesterday morning around 11am. A dark blue vert on I-85 north in the Anderson area. Older couple crept up on me and passed me before I noticed. I pursued and we kept close to each other before you took your exit.


Second was yesterday afternoon in downtown Greenville in the west end market. Another dark blue, possibly the same car?

Just thinking... every time (albeit not many) I chat up an ZHP owner who has no idea their car is "not special", it ends up being disappointing because they couldn't care less. They just have no idea what they are driving or don't care. You can tell it's "just a car" to them. I walk away SMH. Here's hoping your conversation goes better.

I find it funny how the E9x M3 gets its own category but regular E9x's fall into a different one. Then, the 1M gets lumped into the same category as the 1 series and so does the M5 with the 5 series. I don't follow.

Argh, two ZHPs in my neighborhood which is the Quail Hill area in Irvine (Orange County, CA). One is an Alpine White sedan with roof racks. The other is an Imola Red sedan. I recall the days when I would put ZHPmafia cards on ZHPs when I'd see them.. These days I just wonder if the owners even know/care that there is a Performance Package and that their car is quite unique.

The other day a silver grey ZHP sedan was at my work and the interior was just plain gross.. I knew it wasn't a ZHPmafia member so I didn't bother posting. Twas' just a car owner wanting their car fixed..

IR sedan is 6MT, Alcantara wheel, black leather, Silver Cube Effect that I found one day at a used car lot while driving the E21. Drove it straight to Carl's, he proceeded to call his friend who drove over and bought it that day. I need to get her to join the forum.

A quick trip to San Diego for work: in yesterday evening, hosted a work happy hour, a dinner, and then out this morning. On the way up, stopped by to look at some 135s we're considering buying (a group of 3 of us). So, spotted a silver zhp. I invited him to join the mafia so mods, look out for a guy named Greg, handle "thecarguy". He said he considered joining earlier but got the message that it was closed to didn't pursue. Wish I had more time to look up Mark, Casey, etc., but the trip was just too quick.

So, while I'm here, view from my hotel room, plus a Navel vessel in the harbor (view left) and a cool aircraft carrier (view right). Sorry, no pics of the silver zhp.

Heh, that happens to me a lot. Every time I see a twin, or a cool BMW in general, I'm driving something else.

Strangely enough, if I let my friend drive my car, he gets waved by every BMW on the road (and other German cars too). I get nothing. But when I drive his car (an STI), I get waves from all the Subaru guys, and he gets nothing. Maybe it's subtle racism ;) (I'm Indian, he's... Dutch? something european lol)

Yeah, my dad had a 2003 Mini S Works kit and when he picked up the car from the dealer new, they told him to wave at other mini's that he saw driving around. Guess that's why it's mostly first gen guys who do it.

Saw a very clean jet black ZHP coupe today next to Key Arena in Queen Anne, Seattle. A older couple, the driver was overly-concerned with scraping the front bumper on an incline, so he stopped the car, got out and started feeling under the splitters. I asked if he needed any help and of course he declined. He couldn't have known I cared for the car as well! Family vacation. It was cool seeing the fireworks over the ocean. We flew all night long and got back home a few hours ago so I'm sure we'll be zombies this weekend trying to readjust.

Speaking of Texas there was something I found humorous. We drove north up the Kona coast for an hour to get to Hapuna beach which is one of the largest white sand beaches on the big island. There were a lot of people on the beach and in the water. We are hanging in the ocean talking to two families on either side of us. It turns out the one on the left was from Austin and the one on the right was from Dallas.
