I was just enjoying your footage and noticed your rear armrest.. Is it just me, or is that thicker than they typical armrest? In both my zhp's it is quite a bit thinner. I don't know if that makes sense... but did anyone else find that unusual? Did they make them larger in the 05's? Haha I don't know why, but I'm very curious about it.. It looks like the rear arm rest of an e39. Am I crazy?

As you can see the M3 is thicker whereas the regular 3 series is thinner...

Just came back from a business trip in Dallas and I saw a silver ZHP sedan today at around 11:00 AM near the Palomar hotel in Dallas. It was being driven by a man in his late 20s, early 30s. I think he was wearing glasses.

I was in a rental corolla, lol.

We were sitting at the light at the intersection of Battery Lane and Old Georgetown Road, heading into Bethesda on Old Georgetown. I was waiting to turn left on Battery. I think that this can go both ways. There are tons of M badges everywhere else on the car. I don't see any reason why the M badge can't be on the trunk. But I think in order for you to have the M badge, it has to be on the left side (opposite of norm) and the 330i badge has to still be intact. I have no problem with this car.

There's a big difference between factory installed M badge in appropriate areas and self-installed badge. The M badge was used because the parts themselves were used on real M's. However, a 330i is not an M. Unless he is stating that his trunk is an M...which it is not.

Yeah, but said idiots never look at the valve stem caps so it just doesn't matter what it says on there. They're going to fill with air anyway...
If they weren't idiots, they would actually look at the caps and fill with what the owner specifies.

Those mirrors look more like the AC Schnitzer type mirrors. Possibly reps....they are not ///M3 side mirrors. The "real" AC Schnitzer mirrors have an AC Schnitzer label on them. Like this:

Two sightings, but no pics.

The first was Sunday morning ~10:20. Orient Blue sadan, appeared to be an auto. I was behind you in a black X3 from Patton to Magazine when you turned left on to Robert. This is the 2nd time I have seen this car while on the way to church. A sign from God, perhaps?:fingerscrossed

Finally caught this one after seeing it around. She finally came in to BMW for service and I was able to nab her VIN to register her at the registry.. and to my surprise, she's already registered!

It was female driven, and this was the first other ZHP I've driven besides Terras..and that was before I bought my car. So I forgot what his was like to compare it to mine. I noticed that her clutch was different. T'was more springy..and I've come to the conclusion that my PO did the CDV delete, as this was much easier to engage the clutch

I saw a guy driving a silver ZHP with D.C. plates southbound on the Rockville Pike shortly before noontime on Monday the 16th. As we crossed the bridge going over Montrose, we pulled along side each other and waved/smiled with regards to our "not so special" cars. It was cool and I excitedly told my girlfriend about it a couple of hours later.

Saw a silvergrey ZHP sedan at the Shell station while I was filling up. Owner didn't seem to pay much attention to the fact that there was another ZHP among his midst, despite seeing me eyeing his car. Clears all around, had an exhaust, and was manual. Style 135's.

I don't expect anyone to be friends, I just would have thought that there'd be some acknowledgement, considering most people would wonder why they're paying more for a ZHP versus the standard 330's.

If they were more common, then I wouldn't care. I guess I always end up hoping that I'll actually come across an enthusiast in MY neck of the woods, which rarely happens. Closest guy is Kris, about 20 minutes away. Lol

Anyway, a lot of people have their heads pretty far up their butts and are "too cool" to acknowledge the fun of having a neato car.

Always remember...Not all BMW owners are enthusiast we all are. They purchase and ride the BMWs for status sake and with their nose so high that they do not breath the same air that we do. I betcha none of the guys that you wave at are even car club members.....in fact, they don't even know that there is a BMW Car Club. As for me, since I do not have any ZHP cards, I talk to them or just give them the Car Club cards...that's where everything starts. The Club. Don't forget to write down your member # on the card. My .02.

Due to BMW Intl. having propriety issues with the Roundel, they came out with ruling on where and when the Roundels can be used and placed on just about anywhere. So, there are new ones. No more of the orange logo. By ruling, you can still use those until they are gone...And that is what I am using.

HAHAHa im so glad I found this thread. Only because 1 night a few weeks ago It was snowing here in PA and I went to a poker game at a friends house and decided to walk home due to the snow. (only a few blocks) I was at my mothers house in a small town called Ambler in mont county. Anyway I just got down explaining to my friends how rare my car is and what not well hahah...... walking home I spotted not 1 but 2 parked in front of each other in Ambler, it was dark and snowing but one was silver and the other was either the dark blue or black. (i didn't want to creep up on them) nor take pics. The part of town I was in if people saw me taking pics could have turned out really bad. lol but kinda a slap in the face when just tried explaining until I was blue in the face what a rare car it was. Luckly my friends didn't see them :)

so needless to say I didn't want to create a whole thread just for this short story so I'm pretty excited to see this is an on going thread. hence the excitement.

I drive a silver gray in MD and have the blue bay plate. I thought you found me for a second! I have a black kidney grill, though. Actually I agree. There should at least be some instructions printed on the card... or maybe even a code or password on the cards that you could enter. If the registration page was reopened, maybe there could be a place on the "new registration page" where you enter the code to get past the no new members page.

You can just tell by the stance, even at night. So its following me and I get to a light and he goes in the other lane. Me & JP also met a female with a '04 Imola 330i last Sunday at the Auto-X & Street Survival. She also stated that she inquired and was not allowed to register. But I told her to try again.......and use me as a reference. So, we wait and see.....

I just had to put this on here as I only see another ZHP every so often. I have never seen this many at once without everyone knowing each other.
I pulled into a parking lot at Starbucks and I saw 2 of them park rather close to each other. And then there was me. I took the picture with my phone so its not great. I am the grey sedan behind the black sedan trying to get away before I got a picture. Then another grey one in the foreground, coupe though.
For anyone who might know the area its in Alpharetta GA at Haynes bridge and Old Milton.

On Friday Apr 6 in Palo Alto CA I saw 2 ZHP's in the same day, which is a first for me. One was a SUPER clean black sedan with tinted windows at Safeway on El Camino. The other one was a titanium silver convertible parked in the track & field lot at Stanford.

Silicon Valley is a car lover's dream. Maseratis, a Ferrari, Porsches, M3's galore, Aston Martins... I saw all this and more in less than 48 hours there.

This is why I sometimes feel like the closed registration isn't doing much. I like to meet new people and see their stories of their cars :)

I saw a Silver Tiag sedan here in Lihue, must be the only one on this island couldn't get a pic opposite direction couldnt miss those 135 wheels and the Mtech bumper...

I think I saw a black zhp sedan driving east on the ICC yesterday at a little before noon somewhere between the I-95 and Route 29 exits. I was driving west and only noticed it for a hot second. I believe it had tinted windows, and the factory tail lights (R/Y/R) but I didn't catch any other distinguishing features.

NewJack; I for sure that it was you, but I know you have the LED tails on your ride. I'm not sure who else around our area has a black sedan.
