Ha, I tried to pull in but was told no spectators. I tried saying that I competed before and wanted to talk to a couple of people but was turned down. He did tell me as I was backing out that if I told him who's "support crew" I was in he might let me in, but instead I just went across the street...I only had 20 or 30 minutes before I needed to be elsewhere. When and where did you see me from a Wendys? Also, we need to catch up sometime. I went to the BMW meet in Norwalk last Wednesday, it was a small meet but nice to check out some other bimmers. There was another zhp from Trumbull as well.

I sighted myself a grey coupe (if I remember correctly) on a used car lot on Beach Blvd. in Westminster. With a tag on the window. I was on an errand at the time so I didn't do any further investigation, but: there's a car for sale in town. Someone should buy it and drive it around.

This car is one of many in the collection. I really love the Recaro Sportster CS seats he has installed. Closest set you can get to the OEM CSL seats imho...:thumbsup

Topaz Blue ZHP 'vert today in Stadium West lot at PSU. Hawai'i plates, military gear in the backseat. Very nice car. I don't see many ZHPs up this way.

I Left the Greenwich, CT Hyatt around 10pm last night (Monday) and there was an imola zhp sedan parked right beside mine. Had clears, matte black grills, and the NJ license plate was "ZMB SLYR" (nice!).

I saw this car again tonight, left a note suggesting he check out the site.

I've been shocked how many I have seen since buying Marcus' here in San Diego a couple months ago. I've seen at least 6 since then, of which 2 were parked (and thus, capturable with my camera). The black one is owned by some woman who also picks up her kids at my daughter's elementary school.

Makes me wonder if there could be as many as a couple hundred here.

I didn't block the plates on these because I don't think they're legible anyway. What can someone do with a photo of your car with a plate on it?

The PO of my ZHP had a slight bump in the rear, and whoever replaced the bumper went with the M-Tech I. I'm still debating...but I like it

I am traveling in Europe for business. Fortunate enough to spend the weekend in Munich to visit family and spend a day at Oktoberfest. Saw what looked like a ZHP driving in Munich, it had the 135 wheels and the unique rear diffuser.

Then I saw a convertible ZHP in Zurich, again had the 135 wheels and the M-tech front bumper.

I assume BMW sold ZHPs in Europe? If not, these were amazing lookalikes.

I am traveling in Europe for business. Fortunate enough to spend the weekend in Munich to visit family and spend a day at Oktoberfest. Saw what looked like a ZHP driving in Munich, it had the 135 wheels and the unique rear diffuser.

Then I saw a convertible ZHP in Zurich, again had the 135 wheels and the M-tech front bumper.

I assume BMW sold ZHPs in Europe? If not, these were amazing lookalikes.

In Europe, they do have M-Tech models that had all the visuals sans a couple of ZHP only items like red needles and I believe cube trim...
The Clubsport had everything with the addition of a couple of things we don't have like the unique rear spoiler, Style 71 wheels (like I have), and also had the Cube trim. Only thing it didn't have if I remember correctly is the 10 extra hp.

My British co-worker is also a car nut. Has some little Italian roadster that he keeps garaged and only drives on the weekends. Claims it takes the rest of the week to keep it running for the weekends!

When I started describing the ZHP, he immediately jumped in and said, "Ah, a baby M!" That is their term for the M outfitted but not 'real' M cars.

LOL Gabe. Gary, my ZHP was not freeway drivable anymore as BOTH my rears (inner) were basically shot. Gabe saved by bacon by being the middle man and helping me get 4 chromed 135s and tires that match my current setup. (2 too many, but who cares?). Drove my wife's Honda Pilot down to pick them up. Ended up also buy 4 new tires for her car down the street from BMW Encinitas as one of hers went flat and it was about time for new tires for her too. Next time SD sees me, it will be my ZHP in this thread, and not the Pilot! :)

Was that one sort of a purplish color with dirty rims? I've seen one similar in my area. It was definitely a girl's car because there was a purse in the driver's seat and the rest of the interior was cluttered with items that I associate with women.

I'm not saying that all women have dirty cars!! I've just noticed a trend with women and cars.

Today, I actually saw the very first ZHP I ever test drove when looking to buy my one. It was an Imola on Natural Brown with all of the options. Why the hell didn't I buy it? Scratches all over, fake A/C Schnitzer replica wheels, and the owner confessed that he didn't really do much in the way of maintenance (he had no idea what the oil change intervals were). Damn it; that was my ideal color combo.

Saw it at the place I went to get food while on the job, about 30-40 miles from home. Really brought back memories of that gorgeous Natural Brown interior....... damn.

The real reason for the bump....is....this ZHP is now for sale. My buddy wants a 550i. So......thought I would throw it out there.

All I know...aside from the obvious...is that it has 47k miles, and he's going to ask $19k to start. It's an auto, and it's a 2005. He is a meticulous maintenance guy as well.

He will be back from...uh...somewhere...beginning of December.

I will poke and prod for details should someone think they might be interested. Just PM me.

The headlight lenses aren't actually tinted, just blasted with road debris and other crap. Need new lenses.

I saw a Silver Gray (sister to my own car) on I-26 Headed east towards Columbia SC on Sunday. Must have been near Greenville SC at that point. Saloon. Tinted windows. I was headed west back to Asheville

I was just enjoying your footage and noticed your rear armrest.. Is it just me, or is that thicker than they typical armrest? In both my zhp's it is quite a bit thinner. I don't know if that makes sense... but did anyone else find that unusual? Did they make them larger in the 05's? Haha I don't know why, but I'm very curious about it.. It looks like the rear arm rest of an e39. Am I crazy?

Its definitely thicker. Its definitely factory stock. I couldn't say if it changed in 05. Id be interested to know,however.
I do think that the "fullness" of mine makes sense from a usage standpoint. Good eye lol.

On my way to Solana Beach at 6:55 AM Saturday to catch a train ride to LA. At Del Mar Heights Rd., ZHP heading east just off I-5. Black ZHP Coupe was stopped by two SDPD cruisers. Owner (youngish...as compared to me) was on the sidewalk sitting down while the officers was taking notes. Unfortunately, I did not have a camera at the ready.
