Graphite (or whatever that yummy dark silver color is called) sedan, very clean, e46fanatics sticker on the left rear quarter window. Didn't catch his eye.

Aurelius, I fixed your pictures. You were using two types of tags with the pictures. You had an IMG tag and you had a URL tag. You were using BB code, which is permitted on this board. The problem was the conflict with the two types of tags, which are not compatible with each other (one is a link; the other produces an inline picture).

I removed the URL from the coding.

When you use the IMG coding from photobucket, you just paste it to the message field here. That's it. You don't have to do anything else.

Just getting around to posting this now-- saw a AW ZHP vert less than a mile from my house on Mathistown Road in Little Egg Harbor yesterday at 4pm.

This is only the second ZHP I've seen around here, and couldn't follow it because I had to get my daughter to gymnastics.

I will be on the hunt now...

The OE 15's are back on it now (very retro with all that sidewall). $35k. See S14.net classifieds. There's a similar one on eBay now -- a white '88. Same mileage as mine (assuming no odometer issues).

I'm still amazed at how many BMWs I see down here, now that I'm on the lookout for them. I can't drive a mile without seeing one. I saw 3 or 4 ZHPs in the past few weeks. I rolled up next to one in traffic that looked exactly like mine, minus the clear lights and black emblems. Gave the driver a big thumbs up and got thumbs up back from driver and passenger. Ahh, good times.

I looked down and noticed a really nice Imola ZHP sedan waiting at the traffic light. It took me a second to realize it was MINE! My wife went to run a few errands and was returning to the hospital. ;)

Entirely possible! There were times I actually practiced shifting in a way you couldn't feel it just to see if it could be done and it was actually easier than imagined. :)

Guys from the office and I went to lunch today. We're leaving the restaurant, and holy crap... It's a ZHP. Now, you guys in the big cities - no big deal, I know. But, here in the sticks, I think I may have only seen a ZHP once or twice - ever - and it was probably this car now that I think about it.

So, I hop out to snap a photo to post here and show the wife. Takes me all of two seconds, but lucky me - the owner just happens to be walking out of the restaurant at the exact instant I'm putting the phone back in my pocket, and of course, it's a woman. She says something along the lines of, "Ummmmm... Why are you taking a picture of my car?" with a very snarky "you're-a-freak" tone in her voice. I can understand, though... Because, you know... If somebody is taking a picture of your car, it could only be because it's a stalker whose next move is to sexually assault you. :rolleyes

I politely say, "Sorry. I'm looking for a car exactly like that one. Nice car!", to which she responds almost as snottily, "Oh, OK." with almost a "yeah right" tone, as if she didn't believe me. I just got back in the car and my buddy drove away.

<personal opinion editorial>Clearly she has no idea what she has other than that it's a BMW. Since she seems to be clueless as to why somebody might be interested in her car, I'm guessing she bought the car to show off. But, then when the car gets some attention, she's bothered by it instead of flattered. On second thought, it probably wasn't even her car. It was probably her now-husband's car, and she just drives it. Something like that.

Damn, I didn't even notice the rotors. I did notice the removed badging though, which is what led me to second-guess the whole "doesn't know what she has" thing and assume it was her husband's car... Which I now think is definitely the case. De-badged + drilled rotors = definitely not her car.

The ZHP seems to be pretty scarce in these parts out here in the wild west. Lots of BMW's, but no "special" ones.

I can relate to what you posted here....I just got back from a trip out to Iowa....there's barely any BMWs there! I was visiting family in Ottumwa for a week...I could count at least two BMWs other than my M3 while I was there...

My cousin used to have a coupe loaded with all the dinan upgraded installed by the dealer since day 1; but it is very rare to see a zhp coupe.

Last week I parked next to black with natural brown interior (sedan), got to talk with the owner since he noticed me looking at his car. His car has the ESS stage 3 supercharger, Bistein PSS10, Brembo BBK front and rear, and all supporting mods (LSD, clutch, exhaust, etc.). Stock on wheels and exterior, doesn't even have tints.

to keep the thread on topic, I saw a couple ZHPs last weekend. First, just east of downtown Falmouth, Mass on Sat Aug 14 I spotted a (silver grey? or TiAg) ZHP sedan parked in a driveway (this was just after the Falmouth Road Race). Then, on Mon Aug 16, I saw a ZHP in traffic just north of downtown Boston, near Charlestown I suppose. It was sitting in horrendous traffic on an access road next to US Rte 1.
