I have not seen a ZHP out my way (Portland, OR) in a loooonnnnggg time. Probably 2 years. My indy service guy says he only knows about a handful that have come to him over the years.

Conversely my wife has a Subaru Outback (the un-official car of Oregon), and we can see a half-dozen of them at one intersection.

I've seen more i3s on the road than ZHPs.

That's surprising. What part of Portland are you in? I have seen an Imola sedan and coupe, three different Silver Gray sedans, two different Sparkling Graphite Metallic coupes, at least two TiAg coupes, an Alpine White sedan and coupe, a Mystic Blue sedan, and probably others I have forgotten. Mine's the only Orient Blue ZHP I've seen here.

The quickest indicators:

ZHPs are only facelift
All ZHPs have gloss black window trim and gloss black mirror baseplates, assuming the car is stock
M-Tech 2 front, rear bumpers and side skirts. The side skirts are usually a giveaway because seemingly everyone who swaps bumpers on their non-ZHPs leaves out the side skirts
Most have a lip spoiler in the back, but not all
Wheels are not a reliable giveaway since people swap those all the time

If you can get close enough to see the interior, red instrument cluster needles and a 6750-ish RPM redline (vs 6500 for regular 330's) almost certainly means it's a ZHP since most people wouldn't swap a cluster just for that. Black headliner is usually a dead giveaway for the same reason as above. I believe all U.S. ZHPs had Harmon Kardon speakers, so the tweeter cover is a giveaway of that.

Damn that's beautiful. I saw an Interlagos ZCP the other day in terrible condition. It was painful to look at. All 4 wheels were curbed all to hell, cheap tint was bubbling and peeling, both bumpers had a litany of parking lot love marks. Cringe.

Not a ZHP but a CLEAN E46 wagon/red lowered with black wheels and what appeared to be possibly a ZHP bumper and some type of black front splitter. It was getting on 28 north by Dulles from Frying Pan Road as I was heading to the gym.


Also spotted a super clean Dakar E36 M3 at the shopping plaza here in Herndon close to our apt

You'd think I'd have had the brains to take a picture of this- when I picked up my car on Sunday my new indie had a wrapped ZHP coupe parked next to mine in his tiny garage. Wrapped in rust-red metalflake, except for the roof and some trim in (original?) black. It had M seats (black interior) and a BMW sport intake. Came from somewhere in MA as I understand, and was wrapped down there.

I'd never seen a wrap job before- it wasn't very glossy, and had visible bumpiness across the finish, from the large metalflakes.

Saw a black ZHP sedan today at lunchtime in Asheboro, NC (small town 30 minutes south of Greensboro, NC). Got a feeling it was from the Raleigh-Durham area as it had a white E-Z Pass transponder on its windshield (called Quick Pass here in NC) and the only toll road in the NC at this time is part of the outer belt line around Raleigh. Could not determine interior color because of vehicle window tinting. I was sitting inside a strip center restaurant enjoying excellent Mexican food, saw the car parked outside and kept an eye on it. Car needed a washing indicating maybe it had been in snow so possibly it was from out of NC.

History is - I'd been searching for a lower mileage black 6MT ZHP convertible for about 3 years. I'm an old fart and I'm picky. Hey, that's what I want.... My youngest daughter (25) bought a house in Norwalk and her wedding was last October at Harkness in Waterford. We found the venue because my in-laws live in East Lyme. And we're in East Lyme alot! Great places to eat in Old Saybrook..... and all the way to Mystic. So after being completely BROKE from the wedding, the very next morning after the wedding, I'm sitting in the Groton Marriott figuring out how to pay the bill and this car pops up on Craigslist.
