Last Saturday I saw an imola red at around 11am in Alhambra,CA.
I was coming out of the dealership and saw the IR pass by, I catched up and we were side by side at a red light, the IR went into In N Out and I continued north.

I spotted 2 different ZHPs over the weekend. Both were silver gray sedans.

Saturday: MOPAC around 2 PM, had clear tail lights.
Sunday: Stassney at Manchaca around 6 PM, had OEM tail lights.

Both looked in good shape.

No. Lookie at the turn signal LEDs; only facelift coupes/verts received those from the factory.
The brake lights are also LED. It's just the angle making it look like halogens.

There is another route I know, but the road is so bumpy, I'd actually rather that plates :shifty If you know any other route please enlighten me. I suppose I could just drive in a random direction and them tell my GPS to get me on 101S from my current location, but my phone is often dead at the end of the day.

Yeah it's amazing how the road quality can suck in a place where it really shouldn't suck. Some things never fail to amaze me. :(

On the other hand, some of the smoothest roads I've ever driven on are on the highway in New Hampshire, where it winters HARD over there. :dunno

Let me insert here at little bit of reality and a little politics. As long as this high tax state continue to elect lib-progressives, the taxes that we pay will never go to fixing our roads. Taxes are going to folks (you know who they are) who continue to get freebies and re-elect the same ass wipes. And the cycle continues. I know I am preaching to the choir. Just saying......

Man, it does all sorts of weird stuff to itself :p I think the blur is a result of shooting with HDR on and not staying 110% still. But with the sun so bright, shooting without HDR would have made the shadows such that it would be hard to see the car in any detail. *sigh* can never win with a potato.

So on the way home from running errands in Burlington, WA, I caught up to a strange E46. It appeared to be a ZHP, correct wheels, lip spoiler, and MTech2 kit, BUT strangely it had a 325ix badge. Of course all this stuff can be be bolted on...

Now the kicker, it appeared to be IR. It was a bit dirty, but if I am not mistaken the only non-metallic red offered on the standard sedans was quite a bit brighter than IR and looks distinctly different. Never got along side, only just short of the right rear.

Kicked myself for not having the wife snap a pic. Odd combination.

No, there's a red that's very close. Electric red. It's not that much brighter, and if it was dirty that could be enough to darken it down a bit to IR.

The final differentiator for me is usually the window trim. Zhp's came with black trim while others came with chrome...but I think 325s had black, actually. Hmmm

Probably bolt ons. Glossy black mirror baseplates are also something to look for. Standard cars only got matte black baseplates.

I pulled up next to another OB convertible ZHP at a light the other day here in Alpharetta, GA. Passenger window was down so I looked over and said "Nice ZHP". Hubby & wife, driver & passenger, both gave me a "huh?" look. They had no idea what I was talking about and there was no time to educate them, so I just said "Love the Orient Blue". Got smiles.

I pulled up next to another OB convertible ZHP at a light the other day here in Alpharetta, GA. Passenger window was down so I looked over and said "Nice ZHP". Hubby & wife, driver & passenger, both gave me a "huh?" look. They had no idea what I was talking about and there was no time to educate them, so I just said "Love the Orient Blue". Got smiles.

It's pretty fun. A bit tight in some spots, and there can be a lot of traffic at times.

There was as a ton of traffic on Sunday. Probably the busiest I've ever seen at Muir Woods. If the road was totally empty it'd probably be good fun.

I live in Santa Cruz and commute up into the mountains every day, so I'm a bit spoiled when it comes to good driving roads.

On Tuesday a black sedan in petaluma.
Thursday morning was a black coupe on highway 121. Tastefully modded.
Thursday night was a white coupe with its rear diffuser painted white. Not sure I liked the look of that.

I was headed South on Telegraph on Saturday leaving the Erhard BMW dealership on 15 Mile and Telegraph. Noticed a black sedan in my rear view mirror directly behind me. He was behind me for about a mile before he got into the right hand turn lane at 14 Mile, I believe. I intentionally slowed down sooner than I had to so he could pull up besides me; we exchanged nods and a wave. On a side note, while I was getting my oil changed at the dealership I noticed they still had a BMW Performance muffler and shifter on display. I was talking to the parts manager about it and asked for a catalog and if they had anything else left over, he said that they had just recently sold their display Performance intake. Was anyone on here the lucky one who snatched it up?

Don't be surprised. I see one once every few months, if that.

So y'all might have seen in my welcome post that I am new to bmw. Although my dad has an 04 m3 along with a few others in my family I have never been to ip to date on them. Consequently, I never heard of a ZHP.
That being said. 4 days a week I pass a house in my neighborhood with a beautiful blue e46 vert. I always thought it looked way better than most e46 cars but knew it wasn't an m3. Well after becoming educated on the ZHP I noticed the next time I drive by. Sure enough it's a 330Cic ZHP

BMW really did a disservice to themselves by not calling it a 330is. You know they realized their mistake as they added the S back on the e92 335is.

Interesting that there hasn't been any word about the f30 335is yet. I guess they're waiting for the face lift.

The 'is' line only came in the form of coupes/convertibles, so there will probably never be a F30 340is. Maybe a 440is, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
