The color is Barbera Red. with a cream beige interior. Black soft top. It is a 2010, when I picked it up it had 14577 miles on it. I purchased it from Braman BMW in West Palm Beach and drove it back to Toano Virginia. While driving back I received my first speeding ticket in 24 years. 84 in a 70. I have put 4000 miles on it already. Having a lot of fun!!!

Welcome Vinny! Very Nice purchase and where on 95 did you get pegged?

I'm originally from Chesapeake but live in SC now and have to make that trip up 95, usually no problems, especially at 84MPH. Then again, a 04 TiAG 330 doesn't break necks like a Barbera 6 series. Congrats on the purchase and is this your first BMW? Must be if this is your first ticket in 24 yrs!

Ah, Braman and I-95

I'll be making that boring drive from SC to FL on I-95 tomorrow.

I too am surprised you got nailed for 84. Seems if your not doing 90+ your holding up traffic LOL

Vinny, I think that tickets gonna hurt unless he reduced it to less than 80.

Vinny, I think that tickets gonna hurt unless he reduced it to less than 80.

Depends on two things -
1) location of the ticket, if in VA yes he would be hurting (dad is a retired state) but it is the same in most southern states over 80(or over 15MPH) is reckless. The fines are not outrageous but some states have a clause where if either one of those stipulations occur, they inform your home state and it is up to your state to suspend or not.
2)Were you written for 84 or doing 84 - Two different things

Sometime police understand and write you a more favorable ticket and move you along. Either way you are over 80 so could be painful. It would behoove you to go to court or get a lawyer to go for you because often times the judge will be more lenient then the police. I know getting a layer for a minor infraction like speeding sounds crazy but for a 24 year clean record, I would fork out the 250-350 fee and not have to be present in court(plus if you were nailed down south). A lot of times the lawyer knows someone and it gets dropped to a faulty equipment, which doesn't ding your record or insurance.

Either way, I have been through a few of these and I will admit it is so hard to go slow in the 3er. Cant imagine the 6. Again, welcome and sorry for your luck.
