I've owned this car for a little over a year now and haven't driven more than 150 or so miles at a time until last week. My wife and I made an impromptu trip to Orlando from Charlotte which I think was about 530 miles. I did all of the driving and I'm even more happy with the car now. Was comfortable and reasonably quiet on these Kumho Ecsta 4x tires. Climate control worked very well even in the Florida heat. And getting off the highway you get to drive an awesome car around town. Luckily I used to live in Orlando so I knew my way around, no GPS needed. It was easy to spot in the enormous Disney parking lots. And best of all no problems :-). I was a little nervous about the trip because I heard what sounded like a pulley squeal the week before but it was only once - never got to isolate the culprit.

And on the return trip a guy at Starbucks complimented my "M3" but then he said "I didn't think they made a 4 door for that generation". Got to explain my not-special car and he approved.

Glad to read this.

The ZHP is an awesome road trip car.

Looking forward to my annual Williamsburg pilgrimage in a few weeks.

Is everyone on Kumho Ecsta 4x tires now? I've never heard of them until today. Congrats on the safe and fun trip! Yes, I still need to plan a road trip in the ZHP too... I think it would be very fun for me indeed - a complete blast, but as a passenger the 5'er might be the more preferred choice. LOL.

This is how I felt when I did about 300 miles to Santa Rosa. Great road trip car, and I am happy to say I had no issues.

I've done it 3 times already and in 2 weeks, it's gonna be 4. Orlando to Vermont, Vermont to Denver, Denver back to Vermont, and Vermont back to Florida. Life is crazy.

Awesome! I'm headed to Orlando/Lakeland/Sarasota on Thursday.

Luckily for my whole family, I'm NOT taking the ZHP.

Glad to hear your round trip was a sucess!

Awesome! I find there's nothing like a road trip to bond with your car. I put over 1000 miles in the first three days!

I have driven mine from from Northern VA to Savannah twice in the last two months; about 6 weeks ago and last weekend...approx. 550 miles one way. I enjoy every minute of it. Comfortable ride; I arrive at destination feeling fresh. I averaged 27-28 MPG driving at an average of 80 MPH. I am looking forwatrd to the drive down to Williamsburg.
