We're all going to take turns driving wsmeyer's vert around. Who's first?
Ironically, I've put about 5.5k on the bmw and about 250 on the corvette since I bought it the end of November. I need to stop taking trips. I hardly drive during the week.

29,8XX on my '04 Orient Blue Ci. I bought it last December with 27,200 miles. I put 1,500 miles on it this weekend (Woodbridge, VA - Savannah - Athens, GA - Raleigh - Woodbridge).
I made an unplanned stop at the BMW Plant in Greer, SC. No tours were available, but I visited the museum...a little piece of heaven. I averaged 27-28 MPG. Although I spent roughly 20 hours behind the wheel over the 4 days, today I arrived home feeling fresh. I am looking forward to my next roadtrip.

118,253 and some change, only 10k in the past year (including 2 1000 mile trips and 2 500 mile trips), living 5 minutes from work and 20 from school has really cut down on mileage for me... Purchased at 32,500, and new clutch was installed at 118,008, two and a half weeks ago, 500 mile break in is KILLING me. I dreampt about taking her to redline last night, yes, I'm obsessed, but not to the point where its creepy or weird...

My 540iT crossed 67K over the weekend, the '06 ZHP is closing in on 75K, and the ZHP vert is sneaking up on 47K.
I passed 86k on Preston's car today, drove it to his college this morning, packed the wife's X5 fully of his dorm room stuff and left his ZHP so he can drive himself home at the end of the week. After his last exam, he only responsible to pack up his dirty clothes from the week, his toiletry bag, his backpack with books & laptop, and his sheets. His mom couldn't make it much easier than that for him.
And the X5 which was bought in mid-Nov with 23.8K on the clock, I rolled over 34K miles on the way home today. 10K miles in 6 months, my wife's job is only about 12 miles from the house, that's a heck of a lot of kids' sports taxiing. On today's 500+ mile round trip the X5 delivered 23.7 mpg running at 80 mph most of the time. (The ZHP got about 26.5 mpg) Coming from multiple Denali/Suburbans as the family SUV the last 20 years, the X5 beat their best mpg by 50%. Impressed.

Besides brakes, tires and oil changes the only things I've had to do otherwise are

Crank case valve at 120k

Wow, awesome. That's when buying a new car makes sense!! I'm the 5th owner of mine at 215,xxx, although my clutch is not original.
You must be due for some suspension work eventually ? How has yours held up ? I think most of mine is original (apart from the usual cheap stuff like rear shock mounts and control arm bushings).
Oh and what's the story on the cats ?

Not much the cats started throwing two codes and I decided to just do it now instead of waiting until I got closer to emissions test time.
The suspension seems fine to me at this point ill pretty much move it to the just keep it driving status. Hopin to get another 100k from it but also don't want to sink tons into it. Pretty sure it's not worth too much at this point. Oh and my Sirius just died....arg.....I hate being without it! I need to pull it and make sure its not something simple like a fuse.

i'm sitting at 62,4xx. i realized that in almost 2 years of ownership i have only put on 11k miles. last time she left the city limits was 6 months ago for my road trip to NOLA (which i will never make in the ZHP again, that stretch of highway is awful!)
Dude, I've put 8,000 miles on my car since January LOL!

i guess i'm just paranoid as F driving/parking in the city. the roads here are AWFUL and kill my suspension. i got a mushroomed strut tower as a result, plus i have already picked up some cracks/scuffs on the front bumper from shitty roads/driveways (partially my fault, but damn near unavoidable in this city), a scuff on the back bumper from a shitty parallel parker (not my fault), and a 3-4ft scratch on the driver side rear quarter panel from some asshole who keyed my car (not my fault at all).
people suck. not you guys of course.

121 months and 2 days old (Friday).
She's been mine since 32,500 (almost 7 years).
123,456 is next, might happen August or September (only did 10k on the car last year).
Rolled 121k on Monday. ~3k since the new clutch which went in over Christmas break. At this rate, this will be the lowest mileage year in the 7 years I've had her. Bought at 32.5k, it's going to be year 10 before I hit 132,500 (or later) if this continues.

Ha, 70k is considered a turning point on the BMW salvage, which a lot of people who I worked with will testify to. Not necessarily an instant drop, but the value of this car will drop fast as I put mileage on it.

Look at it this way; it gives you an excuse to eventually throw in the towel and get something else. Let's face it; after a while, we all get bored of our cars. The only thing that differs between us is how long it actually takes.

I've got 172K miles on mine and I've driven it plenty to love and enjoy how it works but I think I see 2014 a year for change to challenge myself more with a vehicle with higher tolerances and the need for greater driving discipline. :D

Colin just passed 77k yesterday on the way to/from Bruce's. He'll add another ~500 tomorrow when they had back to SC.

Holy hell.
The OEM clutch lasted 175k in my e36 and I thought that was a long time.

Only thing I can attribute to is that easily 150k miles of this cars life have been on the interstate. I would assume constant driving in 6th gear isn't hurting the clutch much. But I promise you, I launch this sucker hard more than I should and shift fast and hard at redline a lot, she seems to be indestructible.

That's awesome. I'd be thrilled to get anything over 100K on mine.

Sorry for the double-post. Tapatalk told me it wasn't posting it because it couldn't connect to the server.
