Just looked, the coupe has 50,201 and the vert is at 9,496. And before DW hits me w/ a "blasphemy", look back at this photo, the wife has logged 600 miles on it since Feb 1st.427

Marcus-SanDiego
02-26-2011, 07:05 PM
Plus, the wife has an excuse for the mileage: the previous owner didn't drive it. Now that you own it, you're putting miles on it. Therefore, no blasphemy.

86,389! :foottap:applause2 I couldn't resist any more, had to fire the ZHP up today and make sure it still runs. Started right up and purred like a kitten after sitting for 3 months. Best part was no CEL, either from sitting for so long or from having the battery unhooked for about 10 days when I had the steering wheel re-wrapped. The brakes did moan pretty loud as i rolled out of the garage but by the first stop sign they were quiet. They only have about 800 miles on them so they're probably still getting broken in. Rotors didn't have any new rust, just what was on the edges and in the holes from last fall.

I took tomorrow off so I can get out for a longer drive before the weather turns to crap in the afternoon.

It sure felt good to hear and feel what it's like to drive it again!

Visual proof.......:biggrin.......

That number will definitely change soon.

Currently ~90-91k (don't remember exact #). Bought with ~75k.

Still at about 59,000 miles. I may eventually get over 60,000.

On November 23, I had about 59,000 miles. I'm one lengthy errand away from getting to 60,000.

I know that I will be driving the car to Qualcomm on April 9 (http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?1864-BMW-330-ZHP-Group-Photoshoot-in-San-Diego-April-9-2011). That will get me about 40-50 miles. Need to pick up another 50 miles some place.

And the wifey told me some "young" guy asked her about her "Zippy-something" vert this week, said he's been seraching and would like to buy it. When she told him she just got it for her b-day in Feb and it only has 11K miles, she said he started begging to buy it now. She told him it be might available, like in about 5-6 years.

Very nice Trevor. I am getting about 380 miles on a tank. Mileage went up with AFE....but came down a bit with Shark. OBC states 24.0mpg....I was getting around 25mpg before....

Wow...i feel lucky. I have about a 45 mile (highway) commute to work and I average 30-32 mpg weekly. I get about 460-480 miles out of a tank on average.

45 mile roundtrip each day for work plus "spirited" driving after work and such and I am averaging 27mpg. Drove to Wilmington, NC and got 32.4mpg at 75mph

I'm almost done with my current tank. Should see how the aFe affects my mileage this next tank.

I think its 16 gallons.

With all city driving and a little less than 1/2 tank used, OBC says 22.4 mpg on this fill up.

It's off by about 1 mpg. True number is ~21 mpg in the city.

:biggrin Thanks for the words of encouragement Dane. I really don't know why it should bother me so much. It's not like I ever plan on selling it and need it to show nice low miles. Besides, with all the flooding going on around here so many of the places along the river that I would take a drive to are closed so I've only put about 3600 miles on so far this summer. Going to the Black Hills next week though so that will add at least another 1000 miles.

Besides, 100,000 miles on a car today isn't really all that much. Not like it was 20 or 30 years ago. I replaced the shocks, struts, LCAs and LCABs last week and those ball joints still feel nice and tight. Probably could have waited on the LCAs for another 50,000 miles. Too late now though and it's nice knowing everything is new. It'll be getting a good workout next week in the Hills. :biggrin

Stock 2003 Imola Red with 160K with no unexpected issues except the DISA valve. I drive it hard all the time. I have never had it in for service since I do it all myself. Just started overhauling systems so I will be good for 250K+. Cooling and emissions done. Now doing suspension and steering and front end cosmetic stuff due to stone chips and sand blasting. For the rear suspension I was thinking an used M3 setup would be about the same as the new parts I need back there. My diffy is leaking at the pinion and one output so with 160K figured it's not worth trying to put seals in it. M3 would give me a better gear ratio and limited slip. I know I need the driveshaft and full suspension and cradle to make the switch. Probably throw in a clutch while I'm at it. The vanos actuators need an overhaul too. This car is in the Minneapolis area and I drive it year around, winter wheels and snow tires of course. Been a great car and plan on keeping it for a few more years.
