haha yep! Actual KM's are 52,210. It was involved in a car accident unfortunately and I am working to get it back asap. The insurance company does not believe the KM's and seems unwilling to factor that into the valuation of the car.

No run flats... flat tire kit in the trunk. They come with either Michelin or Continentals... apparently, it's luck of the draw. Ours came with Continentals, she really wanted Michelin but the Continentals seems like really good tires and all their cars at the performance center had Continentals on them...

It had some parts that I wanted, and my friend needed a car, so I bought it to get the LSD and various parts from it and then to sell it to my friend in a more stock form. It has already been purchased and registered in my friend's name.

I will probably need to buy a second car for MY use at some point before I rebuild. Who knows what that'll be, but I have until next summer and to decide.

Such a sad fate...I can't think of anything sad about it... It's a win-win-win scenario. Charlie doesn't have to worry about posting the car for sale and dealing with people who may waste his time, I get a bunch of parts I want, and my friend gets back into a BMW so I could drag him back to the track with me.

253.4 on almost 3/4 isn’t that bad, to me, but I also do most of my driving in town. If I get 100mi/quarter combined I’m pretty happy. Driving the X3 for 4 years really lowered my fuel economy expectations.

Great Christmas memory. I also bought mine in December. I returned from Afghanistan in 2012 with a ZHP in mind. It took me a few months, but I found mine in Providence, RI. A 2004 with 26K miles; maintained by the local BMW dealership. Took the train from Virginia and enjoyed the drive home. I love it today as much as day one.

I kind of want to do something custom down the road; I want to acquire a UK coupe gauge face (with mph and fuel gauge that doesn't say "unleaded fuel only") and a US facelift coupe gauge face for the US mpg readout, cut both in half, and combine them with the UK side on the left and US side on the right.

Yes, that's how much the "unleaded fuel only" wording bothers me, the same way the stupid "objects in mirror" message bothers me on US side mirror glass.


I'm not an idiot, USA... I don't need this wording on my shit.



Another combo I was thinking of was taking a sedan euro face, cutting it in half, and sourcing a spare ZHP cluster face and using the right-side of that one to have the proper ZHP redline in place with km/h readout on the left.

Yes, sir. I planned ahead of time. I did reset the trip odometer at 147,000 miles. Then, just waited for the clock to match the last 3 digits of odometer.
