I was in upstate South Carolina this weekend for a reunion and had some time to kill before driving home, so off to some twisty mountain roads on HW 178.

https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=US-178+W%2FBrevard+Hwy%2FMoorefield+Memorial+Hwy&daddr=US-178+N%2FPickens+Hwy&hl=en&ll=35.030559,-82.780952&spn=0.154621,0.338173&sll=35.062179,-82.816143&sspn=0.07728,0.169086&geocode=FbUKFgId5bMQ-w%3BFUxpFwIdBWIQ-w&mra=me&mrsp=1,0&sz=13&t=m&z=12

This was my first time with this car on a tight, twisty road, and my first time to really feel out my new Koni FSDs, and what a delight. Sometimes I feel guilty for owning this car and mostly driving from stoplight to stoplight to the city, so I really enjoy fun, scenic roads.

There was even a photographer snapping pictures that I was able to find on the net

I usually make a trip up there once or twice a year, and can't wait for the next one. :rockon

HEY! I live close to 178. I'm about 35 minutes away. It is actually one of my favorite roads. Give me a shout next time you're around. I'll show you some exciting roads.

The last picture (full side view, car facing left) is money! Glad you got to enjoy the ZHP how she's meant to be enjoyed!

The 2nd shot looks like it could've been in a bmw sales brochure.

I am down in Charleston and have been looking for more fun roads beside the jungle that is down here. Looks like I will be making a trip upstate sometime soon. I moved here after being in Blacksburg, VA for five years and I miss the mountains. Didn't realize they were so close. Wertyu78 - what are some other roads I should check out when coming up? My lady and I have been traveling around SC on the weekends to get a little experience outside of Charleston. This will be my next stop.

Let Wyatt or I know when you head up. I'm sure we could host ya for a night and ride up to a few roads. None are very far from here and it's getting to be that driving time of year.

It is indeed that time of the year. There are a lot of fun roads around here. I have a couple of routes that are 3 hours of fun, 6 hours of fun, or 12 hours of pure intense driving. All a blast.

Lol. I tried to find a picture of it on a 3 series. Too bad my photoshop skills are pretty lacking.

Shoot, I will be leaving her here then, she would take the first, complain about 6, and b!tch and moan about 12. I did deals gap back in college on a 600CBR and unforgettable. Talk about people in your way.

I would like to go for a ride in the next 2 months because I am getting ready to go coilovers and a few other suspension upgrades. Would like to be able to get a reference point of starting with stock ZHP suspension (not really worth a damn since the struts/shocks are blown but new bushings)

I realize you just had one last weekend (wish I would have seen earlier) But I will try and make it up in the next two months and I will let you guys know. More realistically I will wait till after the reunion so I can get some more maintenance on it before I romp. (still loosing oil slowly). Last weekend in May or first of June?

I've always wanted a tug boat horn.....
