Got my stuff for the planned exterior and interior detailing of our cars for the next year or two....
After washing with Optimum ONR, DG 501 (yeah it's for boat protection but works GREAT on cars too, according to experts, esp on white cars) and Blackfire CS sealant should protect up to 6 months or more (some say even a year), needing only quick spray detailer, dusting or a quick ONR wash to maintain...and then I can repeat the above process again...

That marine stuff is rock solid on cars, nice choice.

Hmm, you use it just like a sealant/wax?? Where did you purchase? I have a local West Marine, I wonder if I could get it locally... Especially if it does well on white cars...

Well it's more like a cleaner polish with some paint correction, and some people don't even top it off with anything, but I wanted added/longer protection/shine. hence the Blackfire Crystal Seal going on top of the DG 501. (One can layer BF if added pop/protection needed, from what I hear).
It's applied just like a normal polish or wax.
The blackfire though, is a WOWA (wipe on walk away) sealant - no buffing...that little bottle can do about 6 cars, supposedly.
I got my DG 501 from amazon. Almost all detailing shops sell it. Idk for sure if West Marine carries it...
I should be able to show the results in about a week...
My steps will be:
Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine
Duragloss 501
Blackfire CS.
(Optional: Blackfire CS 2nd coat after 1st coat cures)
This will be done on the ZHP and wife's new 2014 Mazda 6.

Excellent thanks for the info. I will surely find out and let everyone know if it's available locally at West Marine.

Interesting. I really need to work on our Tundra's paint. A single stage (paint and clear are together, old skool style) and I wonder if the marine stuff would do it.
Thanks for sharing Wash.

Should be fine with any type of paint, I think...
But let me first try and show you guys what it does - they you can decide. (although it's never easy to 'show off' detailing on a white car, I will do my best...)

In for results. Christine needs some TLC this spring/summer. Gotta get all the winter grime off her.
