Has anyone here (or does anyone know someone that has) upgraded their system using the one posted on bimmerforums?

I couldn't find any testimonials... The stock HK speakers I have are horrible IMO, most likely due to their age. I would prefer a simple DIY effort to upgrade.
EDIT: I would also like how it compares to BSW's system, or any other simple to do retrofitted system for that matter.

In Laredo, which is main trading gate with Mexico, which is where the speakers are probably made.
Just an observation. Interested in feedback.

The speakers are not the same impedance as the factory speakers.

This listing solely tries to sell their products on by putting BSW down. Awesome marketing technique!
There is tons of information out there on BSW products and I have yet to see one bad review. They don't use paper drivers, either.

Seems to have positive feedback on ebay: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574947307&toolid=10001&campid=5336776893&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Ffeedback.ebay.com%2Fws%2FeBayISA PI.dll%3FViewFeedback2%26userid%3Dmods4bimmers%26% 26_trksid%3Dp2047675.l2560%26rt%3Dnc%26iid%3D28106 8480968%26sspagename%3DVIP%3Afeedback%26ftab%3DFee dbackAsSeller

Typical eBay style. Korean LG monitors on eBay have hilarious advertisements that are full of crap, but the monitor is fantastic. I wouldn't read into it too much.

I remember seeing those on e46 when I was researching speakers. Here is the thread http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=970976&highlight=bsw

I got some Infinity's from crutchfield that I'm very happy with. Fit like a glove, relatively inexpensive (on sale at the time) and made a pretty big difference even with only replacing the front two mid-bass. Unfortunately I can't really speak to any other options :-/
In my opinion though, if you're trying to be conscious of how much you're spending, start with only replacing the mid-basses and see how you feel about that. It might just be enough...

Thanks for the advise, I plan on replacing all of them though... 10 yr old speakers probably need to be sooner or later. I'll continue researching, as this is going to be my next mod. I can't stand the way they sound now, especially with the road noise.
