Lmao. What is this thread? Is this a morph of the mugshot thread?

Nice pic btw. The look in your eyes and open gait really sells it.

What I love the most is this was totally spur of the moment. My buddy is also a pretty damn good photographer.

I never used them and the glass was pitted. This is the start of a big brake duct DIY. Maybe I'll finish it up this weekend. I'll write it up as a DIY if I do.

Love it Wyatt.

LOL! Have you hugged your ZHP today? We may need a new decal/sticker with that on it.

I agree. Lets get it made.

I do, I do. Even after 4 months of ownership, I occasionally open the door to my garage to admire it, smiling. My Steel Grey metallic M Roadster is parked next to it, and as much as I love it, I don't tire of looking at the Orient Blue ZHP. I feel like I've abandoned my Roadster.

Nice picture; it also reflects my feeling.

Had to laugh when I read this. I've been waiting a lot of years to own a sports car, so when I first got my ZHP, I would go check in on it before going to bed at night. Just like I do with my kids. :)

Now that's funny. I check on my car every night too!

I'll admit, I was absolutely infatuated with my Viggen; I couldn't walk away from her without looking over my shoulder, often stopping to take *another* picture...

But the ZHP is more of a comfy "let's get settled down" kinda love. I still gawk, and I still take pictures, but it's less about the sensory impact and more about the knowledge that this is just a great, great car that I'm going to be with for a long time..

I will love mine a lot more once I get it tweaked in how I want it like better tires. These Bridgestones are crap.

It seems to be a real hit-or-miss with Bridgestone tire models. Some are great, others are awful.

May also just be taste. These seem to be hard and loud and tramline quite a bit. They may have better handling characteristics but I would rather have something a little more civilized. I've had Bridgestones before on other vehicles and they always seemed to be on the harsh side.

I love my ZHP but when I got my car it had crap tires on it. I put a set of Michelin PSS on my car and it cured the tramline issues and harsh ride. Love these tires.

I just had a severe "ZHP love" moment this past weekend...

I was running some errands and for whatever reason, I was feeling frisky and not too concerned about my gas mileage. Took off from a stoplight, wound 1st to redline and wickedly chirped the tires on the 1-2 shift. First time I'd ever done that in this car, and it was glorious. She's comfortable, poised, and pretty. But when you ask her to wake up, she wakes the hell up.

Is this like the opposite of the "things you hate about your ZHP" thread?

In which case I love everything about it minus the seats and how the gearbox is hard to get in gears during cold weather.

I've had the car for over a year now (well the first half it was my fathers) and I have only once floored it from first to second. It felt great but I really hate abusing the car like that.

My MINI.... Well that's another story hehe. That car is basically the Honda of BMW's. I'm amazed how well it still drives after all the punishment.

I feel you on the abuse issue. The funny thing is, that 1-2 shift was smooth as butter, compared to the occasional mis-shift that I've done under much more sedate driving conditions. There were a couple isolated incidents where my shifter was being finicky and stuck in the gate, sorta rebounding back into gear against my will while the rest of my limbs completed the shifting sequence. The car banged/lurched as if the whole transmission jammed up for a split second. This was on a low throttle 3-4 shift at maybe 1,800rpms. Scared me half to death.

If anything, the fact that I broke traction during the aggressive shift means that there was less shock for the driveline itself to absorb. So I guess the trick is making sure you can pull off the aggressive shifts that smoothly every time to promote driveline longevity.
