E82/E90 side markers on E46/4?

I am looking at buying genuine clear sidemarkers for my car and noticed at the dealership the other day that E90 and E82 sidemarkers look exactly the sane as E46.

Does anyone know if these will fit an E46? eBay has aftermarket lights that they claim fit E46/E60/61/E82/E90, so I was wondering if these fit.
I want to buy used if at all possible, but in the best condition.

These are for side markers, DW. The eBay one I mentioned before is for tails. Auction for tails ends in 2 hours.

If you don't figure it out by the meet you are welcome to swap one of mine in to see if it works.

If I remember right, at the last meet me and rob were looking at this and they were exactly the same. The only difference was they are upside down on the e90.

Thanks Cody, I plan on having it all installed by next weekend so I'll have it figured out by then. Thanks for the info though; every bit of information points to it being compatible. I'm just going to order it and I guess we'll find out for sure!

Alright, I ordered them. I figure for $20, I'll take the clues and treat it as good enough. :)

I'll be sure to post whether they are compatible. Could be a cheap way for folks to get genuine clears! The seals on the aftermarket Depo's are garbage..

I've had Depo side for 2 years and the seals are fine. I do maintain my car pretty regularly though :)

Both sets of Depo side markers I had cracked and deteriorating seals after only a few months. One of them had a serious amount of rust on the metal clip. The consistency isn't even there between the sets...

They're the same. Just upside down, as Cody has mentioned.

Well guys, hanging with Dennis and we just compared his ZHP to my rental car E90 vert and the lights are almost identical... They are the same, only the e90 mounting tabs on the backside are about 1cm offset from our e46 ones... So the lights will sit about 1 further back on the fender.

As for them being "backwards" or "upside down" on the e90, that's because the fender cutout is literally upside down on the newer model...

Wow, I never replied to this thread...
The ones I ordered used from an E90 do not work on the E46. As Joop said, the mounting is off by maaaaaybe 1cm, which is enough to make it extremely loose on the fender. Oh well.

I have a new OEM set from ECS on the way at this point.
