My '04 has the original bi-xenon HIDs and halogen "flash to pass" bulbs. At this point they are 9+ years old!

I want to get the Philips 85122 from either Amazon or theretrofitsourceto replace my old HIDs.

http://www.amazon.com/Philips-Xenon-Headlight-Bulb-Pack/dp/B00480J4JG/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1312953350&sr=1-1&tag=5336612389-20 <- $85 + Free shipping (Part# 85122)

http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=148&osCsid=grnvmm10kequae7i0envrvmi2ukfm87e <- $95 + $5 shipping (Part# 85122+)

Now the Amazon bulbs are listed as 85122 and theretrofitsource has 85122+ listed. I've heard that the 85122+ were the new version, but Philips has since gone from 85122+ back to 85122 even though they are the "new" version. True?

Also! While I am at it I was considering replacing the "flash to pass" halogens, any opinions on a good replacement for these bulbs?

Thanks!

they are both new. the 122+ are better and they don't color shift like the regular ones. i would just get them for TRS rather than amazon because there are a lot of fakes (and even amazon doesn't realize it sometimes). not to mention, looking through the reviews, it seems that even though it says it's the regulars, some people got the 122+ or one of each

i'd go with some silverstar ultras for the flash to pass i guess.
