I'm an idiot. Or, unfortunate, I guess...
Sat down on a public bench a little while back, dind't notice the melted gum that got on my jeans, then went for a nice drive. And now there's a patch of muck on my driver's seat.
I tried the "freeze it with canned air" trick and plucked as much away as possible, but there's still a tacky spot leftover. Anybody have advice as to the best method for getting the remaining muck off my tush cushion without damaging the leather? Leather interior, no alcantara, which is probably a blessing in this case.

Try duct tape in an inconspicuous place first. If that leave nothing then try and pick up the gooeyness with a fresh piece of duct tape.

What I've read is to use a Woolite/water mix and then agitate with a soft brush (like a toothbrush or something).
Good luck! Let us know if anything works...

would goo gone work? I just used it to remove the airbag warning stickers on my visors without issue.

Well did the gum still atleast have its flavor left?

Goo gone will decimate the gum.

Heh, This thread reminds me of that Simpsons episode where Lisa gets gum in her hair and the whole town starts appearing with more and more wild ideas on how to get it out of her hair. I couldnt find an online clip though :(

Oh dear lord I think Dane's suggestion may be the most justifiable overkill I've contended with.
Gonna try the 'goo gone' route, and see where that gets me. Thanks for the tips, guys!

GooGone should work. I've always used peanut butter to get gum out of hair. The oils break the gum down.

SUCCESS!
I ended up using WD-40, because I found a great little product at work: they make a pen applicator WD-40 stick! It's like a firm tip highlighter. I was able to apply a little bit of the magic juice to the bad spot, then use the tip to flake/scrub the gum right off. Worked like a freaking charm! In about five minutes and two paper towels,
I went from this:

RAD. Thanks for the tips, all!

Nice. I though you had alcantara.

Ask me how I knew WD40 would work. Maybe it was on Family Fued.

Yeah, that's left bolster is the one place where Echo shows her age. Everywhere else the leather's spotless.
Nice. I though you had alcantara.
I wanted full leather from the beginning when I was looking for my car; my buddy had the leather/alcantara in his ZHP and something about it just looked "economy" instead of "race-inspired". But his interior was a different color, and I'm kinda wishing now that I had it in mine... maybe in black it'd have been sexier.

Glad you got it worked out.

I would have swapped the interior as Dane suggested...
That spot may come back and bigger. :shift
