By no means am I a professional photographer. I am still learning how to use my D80. Shots taken using the lighting that was there and various camera settings. Please critique! Positive or negative welcomed.

Wyatt, I think your pictures SUCK... Why? Cause you needed another car in the shoot. ;)

This was unplanned. Downtown in 35 degrees at 3am...

Like all the shots but in almost everyone of them, there is a light in your field of view. You were probably shooting manual which made the car look good but the light is overexposed and in my opinion distracting. The area is nice to shoot, but the lights are hard to deal with I bet.

I like fourteen from the top best.

I agree. I'm still grasping the concept. Shot those at F10 and 4 sec exposure at ISO 320 I believe. On a. Cheap 18-55mm Nikor lens.

I love the car. It's S50 swapped with a Z3 transmission and 3.45 built LSD with polished gears/ 40% lockup on accel. I'm waiting for him to sell it to me..

crank that baby up to ISO 800 at least here, probably shoot f5.6 or so. I don't think they look horrible by any means but if you want to do it right you need strobes for night shots. Also a light meter is a great tool to help you.

strobes = dedicated photo flashes. just photog jargon.
