Well noticed as I was parking at work this morning that the Left Rear was almost flat. So I poped it off and put the spare on.
Any issues with driving ~40mi with a 17" spare (spt pkg rim) on when all my others are 19"?
I just need to get home and then I can put the style 135's on.
Should have a replacement tire Thur or Fri.

Sorry, don't know. It's all got to be about speed/handling. Not sure why it would break something at reasonable speeds.

Shouldn't be an issue for a short drive. Just make sure to get fixed or replaced ASAP.

Yesterday, a similar topic was discussed for 16' rims: too small for the 330i brakes. Not sure if 17' will be a good fit.

my only issue was the TPMS went crazy.
tire sizes on the 19 and 17?

Got home fine, was hard to tell something different was on the rear.
I was mostly concerned that the different diameters would give DSC fits. I guess that's not the case.
Fredo, regular 330's came with these 17" so there shouldn't be a clearance issue. I know it was mentioned in the other thread, but I thought non-sport pkg 330's had 16" wheels. So brake clearance should not be an issue.
Thanks guys.

Oh yea, car drove fine to work, but when I rolled down the window to go through the gate, I heard an odd sound. So once I parked at work I checked it, and sure enough it was nearly flat.
When I took it to the shop to see if they can patch it , they claimed the inside of the sidewall was damaged from traveling on it flat. So, new tire already on the way from Tire Rack.

As mentioned, I would think the OD of the tire, from 18 to 17 would be the factor here assuming it clears the brakes.
Glad to hear you didn't have any other issues with TPMS or DSC.

I would think it would depend on the size of the tire on the 17" spare wheel. The overall tire diameter needs to be about the same as the stock wheels or get a DSC error.

nah it doesn't need to be the same size as stock. it just needs to be nearly the same size as his current wheels. the dsc goes crazy when there is a difference in the speeds between the individual wheels. but it's only going to be a problem if you push it hard. normally driving it's fine. just the tpms will come on because on our cars it uses the difference in wheel speed vs. the actual tire pressure.
17" is the smallest wheels that will fit a 330 btw.

That's why I posted "about the same".

New tire mounted/balanced and back on the car. No issues.
My spare is a regular 330i sport package front tire. So although the wheel is 2" shorter that my 19" VMRs, it has a much taller sidewall.
Are you guys sure all 330i's have to have 17" wheels. 17" was the sport option size, I thought 16" came on non-sport?
