I am looking to refresh the suspension on my '04 330ci ZHP currently @ 76,000 miles. Everything suspension wise is original on it except the FCABs I replaced 10,000 miles ago. After some research I believe I want to get the Koni FSD + Eibach Pro Kit, this combo seems to have very high praise on this forum.

My biggest concern is if the drop (1-1.5") will case me to rub at all? I replaced the stock wheels with 17x9's and 245/40/17s squared, will there be enough clearance upfront? I know my car would look a bit better with a drop, but this is not my reason for the suspension refresh. The car is my DD and I am doing this refresh for improved handling, I autox the car about 6 times a year. It seems the Koni FSD is the best of both worlds for a DD with improved handling and a smooth ride compared to OEM, if not better.

Any input/advice on the matter is greatly appreciated!

If those are Apex Arc-8 wheels in 17x9, the offsets are 42mm

Correct! ET42.

You guys think that is a good shock/spring combo to replace OEM stuff?

I am also looking into suspension kits and considering the eibachs. I've had these springs on many cars in the past and I love them. Can't go wrong.

Comparing your set-up against my winter set-up, which is more aggressive offset wise to your current set-up, you won't rub.. at least on the outside fender.

On the rear, you might SLIGHTLY rub. Your set-up is 3mm more inwards than mine and I rub on big dips, but I think I'm only rubbing on the rear bumper tab.

Voted: you'll be OK.

This is the setup i have on my ZHP. Takes a while to break in (1000 miles) but now rides very nice. Took the car in for service and got a new 328 vert and that car was solid (no squeaks) but rode more harshly than mine. Made me feel better as the improvement was not night and day better than the stock setup. Without the drop I'm sure it's better than stock, with drop probably equal but the drop looks really good, its the perfect setup for a daily driver.
