Hi guys, I've been interested in a ZHP car for quite some time and will possibly purchase one in the future. Currently, I own a 2011 E92 ZCP M3 that I'm in love with, just not sure if I will own it after the warranty is up. Undecided.
Anyways, this is a great site.

HAHA!! Surprised you remembered, nike!! Truth is, I've always been a bit of a lurker on forums but it looks like I'll have to be a bit more active on this one. No problem with that.
Thanks to everyone for the compliments. She's a great ride, but not sure if I want to keep her past the warranty (which still isn't up for quite some time). Haven't had one problem from her, and it's my first Bimmer. I'm in LOVE with ZHP cars, and am always on the look out for a 2004-06 coupe. No rush though.
Great community here. Great forum.

Welcome Mark! :thumbsup
You can keep your ///M out of warranty and then get a ZHP for a daily driver sort of like how I did. My ///M has been out of warranty for 3 years now and I still love having mine...:) My ZHP has become my primary car nowadays and I take my ///M out only when its nice outside...:)
Anyway, good luck on your ///M... it's a beauty!!!

Thanks for the advice, and I have not ruled that out. There are a lot of guys on m3post.com that have their E9X ///M's out of warranty with no problems whatsoever. We'll see. ZHP's are getting harder and harder to find..

Ooooof. The E92 body looks amazing in black. Did you test drive a manual before going with the DCT? I'm curious to hear what you think about manual vs. DCT. I hear the DCT is very good and the wife would probably appreciate a car without a clutch pedal. I know I would miss shifting, but the new automatics are so good.
Welcome to the forum.

Keep it, love the color combo. Welcome
I mean, if you'd rather a ZHP, I'll be happy to trade you for your M :cool
Welcome! That is hands down one of the most beautiful E92s I've ever seen, the lines are just gorgeous. I seem to have a thing for E9x LCI taillights...

Welcome to the forum.
Thanks, man. After some research on the DCT, I didn't even CONSIDER a 6 speed. Now, after having it for a year, I couldn't be happier with the choice. The car is my daily driver so DCT works well with me--plus, I have never experienced anything that shifts as fast as this car. It is simply a 'blip'. Also, when turning a corner the downshift is audible because of my exhaust and it gives a short growl. LOVE it. It really is the best of both worlds. I can hold a gear for as long as I want, or I can have it decide. Adjusting shift firmness is another great. You've GOT to try this transmission out.

Thanks, man. I hardly notice the taillights until someone points them out, but when I see an older M3, the difference is clear.
Not sure that I'd trade straight-up, but I definitely want one! Plenty of BMW's where I live, but NEVER seen a ZHP in real life.

I just had my first 'normal' driving experience instead of just around the block with DCT in an e93 m3 for about 25 minutes. Shifts are like butter, and in automatic mode.. it does a great job. I had a good amount of time to play with the gearbox and it's awesome. I especially liked moderately accelerating and upshifting and it just seemed seamless.
Downshifts were glorious as well! I even had some teenagers beep & wave to me while driving. I gave them a downshift to 3rd and an overtake in return so they can hear how awesome the S65 sounds :wub
I like rowing my own gears because of the connection, but the DCT really is amazing..
(it was getting a 15.5MPG AVG in the OBC too before I got it :shifty)
If you say so... lol, just kidding, I don't think any sane person would do a straight trade like that. Maybe when your lease is up you can look into the M3 or M4, if you decide not to keep the E92. Imo, 4 door M3s can't be beaten for coolness.

Yea man, I'm eyeing the M4 but I won't get a "first-gen" one. They'll have problems. I'll likely wait for a CSL or competition package version after a few years.

Hey Mark, welcome to the forum. Beautiful car, I have a huge liking to the ZCP cars... Personally, I'd love to get my hands on an E90 ZCP in Alpine White... Good luck with whatever future ride you pick up.

Thanks for the input! I will definitely try the DCT before going with the manual.

Juan Luis,
Where on the island are you? Are there many ZHPs/members on the island? I returned from PR yesterday. During week my there I did not see any.
Saludos,
Adolfo
