Hi. I retired from the Army last year with 30+ years of service. I was an Army aviator who flew both rotary and fixed wing, but stopped flying years ago. I now enjoy driving my cars. After years of looking, this past December I purchased a 6-speed manual Orient Blue 2004 coupe with black leather interiors; it only had 27K miles. I love everything about it. It's my 3rd BMW. I had a 1999 323i which I used as a daily driver, but sold it in July 2010 before going to Afghanistan. I also drive a 2002 M Roadster. My first love was a 1974 2002 back in '74; I hope to 'rescue' one someday. My wife asks me which of the two I like driving the most, the Roadster or the ZHP. Although the Roadster performs better, I also get a rush from the 330; handling is almost as good. I enjoy the ZHP's interiors and comfort much more, and its looks just as much. I plan on keeping them for as long as I can drive.

Welcome, Adolfo ! Congratulations on your 330ci. Man, that's only 3K miles per year. I had a 1999 323i as well. I loved that car ! Someday, I hope to replace it with a ZHP.

Adolfo,
Welcome to the family. I'm just up the road from you, off of 123 about 5 miles from Occoquan. Typically am doing something with one of the cars on Saturdays, then kids soccer on Sundays, feel free to stop. And I know where a pretty nice stock '75/76 2002 is in the Springfield area, not currently for sale but the guy has about 10 vehicles and something has to go some day.

Also, thank you for your service! I always wanted to be an F/A-18 pilot when I was in grade school.

Thanks to all for the welcome and for the comments. I'll post pics as soon as I figure out how...I saw the instructions posted here somewhere. Here is link to my Roadster: http://www.bmwmregistry.com/detail.php?id=2446. No big plans for the 330 other than possibly a performance chip & software, but I will need help. Other oil and filter changes in previous cars, I have never worked on cars, but plan on learning some.

Bruce, I am in Woodbridge off of Minnieville near Cardinal. Look forward to meeting you.

Bruce is right around the corner and the man Dane is not far away. They can help out with all kinds of maintenance stuff.

Thanks! If you bring her to The Reunion, I'll take you up on that offer. My parents had a '99 Pistachio Green M Roadster which they'd let me use when I'd fly home for visits. Definitely a great car and fun driver. I was extremely bummed when they sold it. I often remind them how rare the color is, and how much fun the car was!

It is rare. I've only seen them in pictures. I'm leaning towards taking the ZHP, but I've not made up my mind.
