Might as well start a thread to keep track of maintenance and mods.
http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af278/nicee46/Maintenance%20and%20Misc/Minidata.png
The build is a 2010 (Build date 11/09), Pepper White, Mini Cooper Sport, 6 speed, with 22,500 miles. One owner. It carries an N16 engine (on the R56 chassis), and came from the Oxford, UK plant.
Purchase price was $18,955. It was maintained at, and purchased by me at Richmond BMW-Crown Mini. All maintenance is up to date and on record.
The car came nicely equipped with ZCW, ZSP, ZPP, Style 94 (61/2JX16 ET:48) rims and the following options:
1. 226 Sport Suspension
2. 258 Run-Flat Tires
3. 313 Powerfold Mirrors
4. 325 Rear Spoiler
5. 383 Roof and Mirror Caps in Black
6. 403 Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof
7. 481 Sports Seats
8. 494 Heated Front Seats
9. 4BD Interior Surface Piano black (Interior Surface Piano black; Luxury trim piano black on dashboard; Excludes: [4A8]) Read more: http://www.motortrend.com/cars/2010/mini/cooper/packages_options/#ixzz2muOJ0fje
10. 520 Fog Lamps
11. 522 Xenon Headlamps (includes Power Washers)
12. 534 Automatic Climate Control
13. 5DT Dynamic Traction Control
14. 674 Harman/Kardon Premium Sound
15. 6ND Bluetooth and USB/iPod Adapter
16. FK Leather/Cloth Upholstery
Plans are suspension, rims, and Borla exhaust when needed. I additionally would like to get the shortened stinger, and a leather shift knob. I also will get rid of the front license holder and replace it with a Gominigo no holes LPB. Most likely will have to paint match plugs for the holes. Ugh.
Other than the above, I'm just gonna let it be for a bit.

Not sure what all can be done on the car yet. I suppose maybe they have a blackout kit for those, but I haven't run across them in my limited mod searching for the mini. Probably would look better amberless.

I'm thinking my BBS-RRKs would look sweet on that car. Currently doing winter duty on the vert, which means they're sitting in the garage cause she's put less than 500 miles on that car since she got the X5 in mid-Nov.

DW - Whalen makes great shift knobs for the MINIs - they're uber weighted and give the shifter a great feel. The problem is they're metal of some sort and get very cold in the winter.

Thanks all.
I think my wife has claimed ownership. We'll see how much she like a 6 speed. I'm assuming not much.... So... Most likely it would give zhp a well deserved break, while I figure out why my windshield washer fluid reservoir wants to empty itself.
John, come over for a spin sometime.

Head over to your local MINI dealership. I find it to be a totally different experience than typical BMW dealerships. People are generally happier, they greet you, and they're excited that you're there to see/drive the cars.

As to windshield washer tank - suspect the rubber grommet that holds the washer pump in place.

Looks good! was wondering how/why you got a MINI. Seemed random. the MINI (r53) sure doesnt have the build quality and refinement as the bimmer but it sure as hell is fun to drive.
Personally I think you should black it out. Leave the ZHP more for classiness and the MINI for cool badassery.
and that plate is great! (but I think you mean half pound bmw) The best I could think of is literally "mini bmw" which still works.

It will be tastefully molded as the wife is driving it now.

Yes your car is an R56 - much better build quality than R53 (though to some that was a negative thing - guilty).

Honestly... I've driven the Mini and the zhp over the past week. I prefer the zhp, 100 %. ZHP is roomier and is more comfortable for me. The MINI, being 6 years newer, is well, just newer, and it does get better gas mileage.

My day with the mini loaner car (a manual S) was a freakin' blast. Loved every second driving that thing. Returning back to the zhp was night and day. I love the Ness, so I wouldn't take a mini over it, but the mini wins in the pure "fun to drive" category by far for me. It would be a great 'nother car to have in the family. Maybe someone can sell me theirs when my daughter is ready to start driving in 2-3 years. Glad your liking your choice Dane.

Yup - I thought a stable of ZHP and R53 would be perfect. It was, until the ZHP got the nod day after day, leaving me no real time/opportunity except track time to truly enjoy the MINI (it was modded for track, ZHP not). For the type of driving I did, the ZHP made my MINI obsolete.

Yours is an R56, mine is an R53. The R56 has better build quality but IMO, not as great styling and quite as much charm. Both are great cars either way.
And I agree that the ZHP is still the better car to drive. The MINI is rewarding while driving it hard, and the ZHP is rewarding literally all of the time.

Oh and I saw your comment on the washer fluid draining in your ZHP, on my cousins car at least I know the headlight washers will leak for some reason which drained the bottle.
