Steel flat bar... That's what I used to always use. Cheap and easy to work with. Not to mention infinitely configurable. :biggrin

GoPro stuck to helmet (right side), outside of windshield, inside of windshield, inside of moonroof glass, homemade PVC pipe mount bolted to passenger seat headset. Now what I really want is data acquisition with video overlay.

I love my CruiseCam (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/812110-REG/CruiseCam_CRUISE_1_Short_Bar_Headrest_Camera.html) , except for the fact that because of its mounting position inside the car and the lacking dynamic range of my cameras, I can either get good exposure inside the car or outside the car, but never both at the same time.
I also have a shitty suction-cup mount, but I don't even trust it to stick inside my car, let alone outside.

I was going to build something like this but that is a pretty decent price so I may just buy this.

I don't know if I trust that in a hard corner at 50

Oh I've done it...
But it's not intended for Motorsports it's for filming/photos. I'd never risk a $5000 camera/lens to get footage of me on a track or something.

Works for me. GoPro suction mount holds incredibly well. Just make sure that surface is super clean. That tow hook mount looks pretty good but rather expensive...

yeah, I knew you guys would have some crazy setups but that's why I posted this in the track section

I think it's actually at Thunderhill, not Laguna. Corkscrew has a much more vertical drop:

I don't ever see/search by what subforum a topic is in. I click new threads and go by that list so didn't see.

Y'all have some pretty sick setups. That SLR mount has to produce some gnar rolling shots, when configured correctly.
I've got a GoPro suction mount, a cage mount that drops down from the top of the windshield cross bar (usually on pass side to keep from obstructing mirror), and a mount that clips around the headrests.
Hermes, I am saving that PTG shot <3

JP the 2nd pic I have is Laguna Corkscrew from a a slightly different angle. It's at the exit of the corkscrew more than the entry..

got it, I thought you would experience more body roll in that corner. What suspension setup were you running in that pic?

if you look at the rear wheels, its definitely squatting alot.
I'm running my swift springs on the ground control coilover setup in that picture.
