It's nice to see another ZHP project, especially Silbergrau. Do you still have the aftermarket headers, if so what kind? I might be interested if you don't have a buyer already.
Also, if you ever make it to the 29607 area let me know. We have a local club with 100+ active euro car members that meet up. We're planning on getting a huge gathering of BMW's/Euros/specifically E46's to roll together to SoWo 2013 in Helen.

Painted trim is going to be traded with a local ZHPMafia member. I hate it, lol.

Car looks great Connor. I'm still undecided on the painted exterior trim, but if you're swapping it, go for it. The lights look great. Going back to ambers? I like the clear package myself..
Well done so far, will keep an eye out for more updates!

I CAN'T WAIT TO GET RID OF THE TRIM!!! Haha - I am swapping with a local guy whenever we make time to do so.
I got the ambers for $25/shipped so I figured why not? It will be just temporary. :)

Also have a lead on some VMR CSLs I'm probably picking up this weekend. :D

Nice. You're building a twin. I think silbergrau sedans look sharp with oem black trim and ambers, but I guess I'm a little biased.

Coby aclantara arm rest arrived. I didn't pay attention and was expecting a tri-stitch cover because the stock photo on their website was a tri-stitch, but this will do for now. I plan to order the e-brake boot to match my shift boot this week.
Also arrived in the mail was my custom "MTECH II" euro-plate with the ///M plate holder.

Will do, but keep in mind I have the Magnaflow cat-back so the intake sound might not pick up well. Good excuse to break out the GoPro, though!

I can't wait to get some sound altering mods on my car. I have a blue yeti + shock mount and pop filter which is powered via usb. Can probably make some awesome exhaust recordings. =p

I'm looking for input regarding my interior.
For information sake, my interior is leather with silver cubes.
I recently bought Webster's Coby wheel with grey stitching as seen below:
http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k433/wtolson/ZHP%20Pics/DSCN0307.jpg
I installed Coby's tri-stitch shift boot about a month ago, and I also have the Coby alcantara arm rest with no stitching that needs to be installed. My question is . . . if you were in my position, would you remove the tri-stitch shift boot since it doesn't match and replace it with my OEM alcantara boot?

I'm so jealous! Your car is lookin' good.
Oh, I would get the gray colored stitching on the boot! 2nd preference would have to be the regular OEM alcantara boot without the tri-stitch but whatever you like is the best choice.
MiniD
03-04-2013, 05:54 PM
Thanks man. I have a bunch of stuff just sitting in boxes waiting to be installed.
Thank goodness next week is spring break! I actually went to buy a set of 18" hyperblack VMR CSLs last weekend and as I was on my way, txt'd me saying he 'just' found a huge dent in one of the wheels. I was disappointed as hell.

I dig the grey stitching. It should look really good with the color of the car and the silver cube. It gets my vote over the tri-stitch.

Installed new OEM center console from ECS Tuning and a Coby Wheel alcantara arm rest. Not too pleased with the fitment of the arm rest, but it works for now.
Still have to install my Dinan intake and Coby wheel. Also going to order some more stuff this week!
What was wrong with the fitment? I was thinking of doing this.

I couldn't get the alcantara material to fit right on the back of the armrest. The Coby shift boot was much easier to install, lol.

So was the alcantara arm rest a cover over your existing leather arm rest?
My son's arm rest pad is jacked, he needs either a new black leather arm rest (it's gray now, but he picked up some black console pieces this weekend) or an new cover for the arm rest.

And MiniD, weren't you thinking about those coupe alcantara seats near me? I went to look at them this weekend, couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger because they are non-heated and our coupes have heated seats which we like.

Hey Connor, good to see more progress on the car. I like the alcantara armrest, looks good in your car. As for the stitching, I say match the steering wheel for the shift boot, that wheel looks awesome! The other mods look great though... Get that Dinan intake installed too! I'll have mine installed before you do at this rate!! :biggrin

Yes and no. You have to undo the arm rest assembly and take off the leather. You then wrap the alcantara around the foam mold of the armrest, and glue the edges. I don't think mind was cut the right lengths, but I made it work.
As for the seats - I don't recall being interested in seats. Then again I have a horrible memory for a 19 year old.:rofl
