I believe im going to bite the bullet and get a set of wheels for the car this spring. I think im going to go with a square setup 18.8.5 et35...as far as I know this should fit no problem. .y only concern is that with my current stock wheels and coilover setup there is a slight rubbing between the tire and strut. Its a very small amount but I want to make sure my new wheels will clear the strut without the need for spacers. I used an offset calculator and it looks like ill have more space with the new offset. Just wanted to make sure my thoughts were correct in this before I pulled the trigger.

Thoughts are sound.

Spacers?

I've put on 18x8.5 +40 and had plenty of clearance for the strut to rim. It was more than 5mm for my ground control coilover setup. What is your current wheel setup?

I was hoping to get a good look without the need for spacers. Current wheels are stock style 44 17x8 et of 47 I believe.

My fitment buddy DTMDan advised me that 18x8.5"F & 18.9.5"R both ET45 would be perfect. Upon my research of that set-up, I agree.

He had 18.9.5" but ET35 and I'll tell you whut. That was freaking perfect. But it would look weird for me since he had it on coilovers and tucked. I'm just on an H&R kit so it wouldn't look as good.

I think I'm going to end up doing 235F/265R too. Now just to wait for my tax refund! :rofl

They're rolled! Mildly though, and in my inexperience I seemed to have pulled my passenger side a bit (Cody :shifty) and cracked/peeled some paint in the process :(

^Gotta use a heat gun to help prevent the paint from cracking.

I am surprised my 12 year old paint on the touring didn't crack when I had them rolled (I had them rolled by a "underground" sketchy kinda place :shifty )

So if I were to go with a 18x9.5 et 45 all around I would be good as far as clearance?

should work as long as you don't go more than 245 width up there. I'd be more inclined to tell you to do 235 or even 245 square on 8.5's rather than 9.5's and just use some spacers if you want them pushed out a bit. The wider wheel isn't really doing anything for you other than adding weight plus the thinner wheel will give you more sidewall protection from curbing them.

Just FYI, the wheels I have sitting here waiting for my next car are 18x8.5" ET35 square. I will be running 245/35s all the way around...

As soon as I get the next ZHP, first thing going on her are the new wheels... I will post pics as soon as it happens...

Didn't think about that. 8.5 would also keep tires from being too outrageous I'd imagine.

I believe 18x8.5 et 35 is what id like to go with. Can't wait to see pics of yours on the new ride J!

Ok, this is totally crazy . . but I think I passed you in the middle of no where close to Erwin yesterday.

I was in a black G37 sedan, and I passed a silver E46 pre facelift with angel eyes. Crazy I'd spot a ZHPmafia member in the middle of no where! We were on our way to a family gathering off of exit 46.
