Found this browsing E46f classifieds. Holy mother of god, one of the prettiest ZHPs I've ever seen..kind of want to sell my car for this.

Love mystic blue, but would personally like to see black alcantara or leather.
Never seen any ZHP like that before though. The few I've seen in person were all either silver, imola, or black.

21k? I could get an equal m3 for that. Seems too steep to me.
Sent from the grave. They have Wi-Fi down here.
Normally I'd say the same, especially Alcantara since I just can't get enough of the suedey stuff, but the nat brown with the blue is :drool to me for some reason. I dunno, it's hot and it gets me hot, lolol
Yeah, I pointed that out to him. 21k is far too steep, like you said, there are M3's with lower mileage on there with a lower asking price.

Agreed, very pretty car, but that guy is nuts trying to get $21.5K for it...

Idk... I see he uses a car cover = swirls, and I see oil on the undercarriage. Hehe

I think silver cubes would really set the interior off, though I may be biased.

That is absolutely the most gorgeous zhp I've ever seen. I thought I've seen em all but I guess not. I'd say the price could almost be worth it if you really love that color combo.
I personally dig the black trim more with that interior. Flawless

I posted in that thread, but after posting.. I noticed something that kind of erks me.

Look at the color of the engine bay. It doesn't match the rest of the car.. am I right? Looks to be a steel grey or something. Mystic blue re-spray?

I love that interior. Definitely my favorite combo. So much so I think I'll start another thread :)
With some of the colors, BMW just left the engine bay primer colored for some reason. I've seen it on other blue cars and some other darker colored cars.
EDIT: But at the same time, it could also be a respray.

There's a thread here somewhere where someone was trying to get to the bottom of that. Mine and a few others is that same flat black. You can actually see Metallic Black overspray on mine near the edges. There did not seem to be a pattern of exterior colors but maybe if we cross referenced it with the "what's your number" thread we may see a pattern of particular factories.
I don't believe it's just left primer though as primer is porous and wouldn't protect against rust?
William.

Yeah, I don't suppose it's primer. I just faintly recalled that thread talking about the different colored engine bays.

Car looks sweet!! Seller mentions that the $21k was just a starting point; so, it isn't a firm price.
btw, were there any sedans manufactured in 2006?

Yes many sedans built in '06, they're all E90s though... The one year they had an E90 330, then they shifted to the 328 and the 335 in 2007.

That color combo is :drool. Probably worth 21k to the right person... Although mileage is "high" for that price. With 30-40k I could definitely see it selling for that much.

So no, only e90 sedans made in 2006. However ZHP verts continued to be made in 2006.

That is a beautiful ZHP for sure but asking $21k for a car with 65k on the odometer is just too steep. I don't think this is a realistic pricing for a car with the age/mileage....I think a more realistic price would be somewhere in the $15k range.....I can be wrong but that's what I'm thinking...

Jupiter - I didn't write out my query properly: i meant to ask if there were any zhp sedans in 06 because I see many 06 zhp coupes and verts.

I talked with Tyler the other day, a super nice enthusiast. He has a deposit from a guy in Texas who is supposed to fly up & buy it on Friday, Jan 4th. If that doesn't actually occur next Friday, then expect this thread to get revived.

I'm that guy. I'm just praying for decent weather on the 4th and 5th so I can get it out of the snow belt and back down to Austin. I'm looking forward to getting the car and diving into it with the DIYs.

Brewer,
In case the weather plays with you, lay out your intended return to Texas route on here so Family members along the route can weighing in case you need to hole up thru a storm.

Thanks for the welcome! I'll definitely be an active member here but I'll be a sponge for a while soaking up all of your know how.
I hope to be on the road heading south from Green Bay NLT 3:00 on Friday. I plan to head south to Milwaukee then southwest to Rockford, IL. I want to avoid Chicago since I'll be passing through at rush hour. I'll continue south to Bloomington and Springfield and then southwest to St Louis. I'll catch I44 from there down to Tulsa then take some smaller highways through McAlester and Durant OK until I hit hwy 75 to Dallas then I35 to Austin. I figure I'll spend the night somewhere between Springfield, IL and St Louis.
Hopefully this will all go down without a hitch but I really appreciate the helpful atmosphere around this place.

Gotta take pix of your new steed entering each state at the "welcome/state line" sign, at a minimum. Other corny landmark pix also welcome.

Will do. I'm also a BMW motorcycle rider and have plenty of ride reports with the obligatory pics so will apply the same standards here.

Which Beemer do you ride? I am looking to buy one next summer. F800ST top of my list right now - maybe K1200GT (lot's for sale in Florida).

I ride an 07 R1200RT right now which I just picked up in January. I spent a couple of years on a KTM 950 before that and 40k miles on a 01 BMW F650 Dakar prior to that. I've ridden the 800s and they are nice bikes but haven't spent time on a K bike. The R bikes are awesome if you do your own maintenance. You don't have to worry about water pumps and valve adjustments are easy since the boxer heads are out in the breeze. I was actually looking at a M3 prior to the zhp until I saw I'd have to do a valve check with shim adjustments every 30k. I hated doing them on the 650 and 950 and wasn't about to do them on my car.

Happy New Year and safe riding back home!
Welcome! Lucky man! I've always loved the look of the R1200R. Standard bikes just do it right for me. Maybe one day, lol.
