So happy to be here. Been all over these forums as a guest for the last month or so since I picked up my Silver Grey 2003 ZHP sedan w/ a 6 MT. Wanna thank Dane for getting me on here, and I'm looking forward to it!
My car is a little different though....I'll get a thread up soon.
Well about me. I'm 18 years old and am in my first year of college, and shooting for an M.D. Born and raised in Sacramento, CA. Son of USSR Immigrants, so I speak fluent Russian, if it matters.
EDIT: Forgot my name. Dario John Avetisov.

See....here's the thing with that. I almost typed that, but then consciously said to myself something like "peekayed". Then I thought to myself, "self....there is no spelling Sheriff on ZHPMafia".

German is cake compared to Russian. Something like seven or eight cases to learn! Only three for German.

Indeed, Russian is a very difficult language to learn. I'm surprised I managed to remember it growing up in the States.

Просто, как пирог.
Действительно, русский язык очень трудный язык, чтобы учиться. Я удивлен, что мне удалось запомнить его растет в США.

I would not recommend it. Russian is the kind of language, where even if you learn the language down to perfection, you will never understand the slang, jokes, or culture behind unless you grew up around other Russians. Just the way it is. I imagine that this is the case for all languages, but Russian is a really extreme case.

This is what you said: "Simple, like a pastry. (I assume you wanted the word "cake," but that is tort, not pirogh.)
Truly, the Russian language is a difficult language to *learning.* (you used the present tense, "learning" when it should be "to learn") I am surprised that I was able to remember is growing up in USA. (not a bad translation, but still weird word usage)
10 second into the apartment. (what?)"

Since they were no longer allowing free registration, I had to send an e-mail to the administrator for acceptance(although Dane actually got me in).
