Door sills

I test drove a couple ZHPs and I know one of them had "BMW" labeled Al door sills. The one I actually bought does not (I actually didn't catch the detail until picking it up yesterday)!!

Here's a picture: I'm assuming these are aftermarket then? They are just plain, ol' boring aluminum without any markings...

Mine as well. I will be picking up the ///M doorsills when I do my refresh with silver cube interior trim. I think those sills belong on the ZHP.

Ok thanks! I spent today rinsing the car, it was coated in dust from making the 2,000 mile car transport trip from MI. Oh, That's good to know, the other ZHP had to have aftermarket "BMW" sills then - I admit, they look much better. The other car also had metal pedals... Hmmm - aftermarket as well. I have to focus on preventative maintenance items first!

Steve (SNA77) has them in his ZHP. They look very clean and appropriate for sedans....this was not offered for the US market but Meric posted awhile back that he could get them where he is located....

@ Gary, coupe doorsills are different from sedan ones...;) If I were you I would have gone to GrafxWerks for customized illuminated door sills :thumbsup This is where I'm getting mind for the ///M :)

Yep, the ZHP sedan that I test drove earlier had a version of yours (assuming standard for coupes?).



I got BMW ones. One less thing I need to buy now.

I wouldn't prefer "M3" - that's false advertising! Honestly I'm looking for the ones like Gary's, the plain and simple "BMW," the ///M could work as well. Illuminated door sills are sexy.

JR, they say ///M. Look em up on realOEM. They can be ordered at the dealer/vendor of choice. I wanted them for a long time.

Meric had looked up the M versions that they got in Canada, they were $137 front, $193 rear. Seems like for our cars the "M Individual" ones in the G-werk ad Charlie mentioned, are the most appropriate, but seemed a bit busy. They seemed a bit pricy too. The stock ones are about as boring as they come, better than bare metal though.

They make coupe only....I will get the illuminated monochrome ///M for my ///M...sometime this year, hopefully...

Pricey yes, but will be well worth it when I get it installed :thumbsup

I have those exact ones on my car. The M package sedan in Europe came with them. PERFECT match for the ZHP!

The 135 msports come with //m sills. The zhp was closer to an M car in its day than the 135 is now, so i think your fine, dane. It should look good.

Agreed. BTW, if you want a cleaner look than the horrible stock 330i chrome sills (that they somehow left on the ZHP), then just buy the flat black 325i sedan ones. They are like $10 per trim piece, and gets rid of the chrome...

They are the stock 330i chromes sills--which are meant to match the chrome exterior trim of the 330 (325 got flat black exterior trim, ZHP got glossy black--err shadowline). IMO not switching the door sills to match was an oversight by the designers.

i got a set of these(sedan/used) off of ebay UK for about 145.00 shipped so if you are more on the frugal side might want to check across the pond for good deals from time to time.
