I have a very strange noice/clunck going on in my front suspension. I thought it was the control arms since I have changed the end links, and CAB's. Just got a wheel out to check on the passengers side control arm and the ball joints look OK; tried to move them (as read on other threads) and the ball joints have no movement. Took a look at the CAB's and they look a little torn. Maybe the tech who changed them last year use some oil and they died prematurely?

Took a couple of pictures with my phone to try to get the best one. After getting the car back down I saw the video explaining how to test them by removing the two bolts. But that would have to be on Sunday. Can these pictures help?

On the top of the bushing, where it meets with the control arm you can see that the rubber is torn. I dont know. Hope this is the problem, as I dont have the money to buy the zhp control arms until January, maybe February.

*note, checked drivers side and it looks pretty much the same. Clunking is also from both sides.

I'm going to say it's just the bushings. Are you having any wondering in the steering when coming to a stop?

I do get a clunk when coming to a stop (sometimes) and when accelerating from a dead stop. When the clunk occurs the steering feels like it wobbles a little but i dont know if it just me or if it actually wobbles. But it is mainly when going slow over an imperfection. Once up to speed it goes away.

I should also mention that I changed my struts, shocks, FSM, RSM, and sway bar links less than 2k miles ago, and the car already had the clunk.

The way i checked my fcab's was to watch the front tire inside the wheel well while hitting the brake while rolling. You will need someone to put the car in drive, get it to rolling speed, and hit the brake while you watch. If the wheel moves inside the wheel well ( back to front or front to back) then the cab is bad again.

After seeing your last post, you miight want to check and make sure your end links are tightened all the way. When i changed my suspension out, i had a similar clunk that turned out to be an end link that was loose.

Hope that helps

I dont know if it counts, but i did get an alignment after changing the suspension. I guess it would be tightened after the alignment. Correct?

No. endlinks don't get touched for an alignment. If you don't use the right tool though, they can seem wrench tight, when in fact they are not.

The CAb's at the 12 O' Clock position look torn to me. Weird.
