Will this drop the zhp? or will only the sport kit do it?

I think it drops the car a weenie bit.. The sport kit uses a lower spring but the same shock, that will lower the car just a little bit more.

Oh, and Nike001 has the HR kit. Talk to him as well
^+1 he has a sedan like you so it'd be more comparable. John has a convertible which is going to be a little different.

I love my cup kit. PERFECT amount if drop. I don't know if it's a touring cup kit though; I have heard a few different names for it.

The first two are with 17" wheels so it may appear to be more gap due to the taller tires. There is no gap at all!
This is with 18" wheels:

Yes, drop. Both kits drop the same (I asked the H&R rep), it's the progression rates, etc. that are the different. It's the RACE springs that provide a different drop. And yes, the vert drop is different than a sedan drop.

No clue. The kit was already installed on my car when I bought it, so I have nothing to compare it to.
By visual estimates I would guess 1.2-1.5"? That was completely visual when I compared to Charlie's ZHP.

I have the race springs, offering the most aggressive drop. It is by no means uncomfortable, and looks just right. No gap, but the wheel doesn't tuck behind the fender either in the front. The rear tucks a tiny bit, which is just right for me.
I used to get rubbing on ET40 wheels in the rear before The-friggin'-awesome-Justin-mothatruckin'-Wilson rolled my fenders. :thumbsup

You have nothing to compare it to? How about take your measurements, report, and we'll have someone stock do the same. Let's put this to bed with decent data. Measure from the centerline of the wheel well to the rim bottom edge.

Not understanding that. Measuring from the centerline of the wheelwell is a best guess at best, no? There is no concrete reference point to check if you're measuring from the right spot...
Could you please clarify on this? Perhaps a drawing with lines showing where to measure? Is this what you meant (I Googled it)?:
Take the measurement from the top of the oem rim, (or the center of the rim if they are aftermarket) to the bottom of the fender. Take that number and compare it to a factory suspension equipped vehicle.
I would think the varying sizes of wheels and tires would affect this. I'm not running my OEM-sized 18's right now, I'm running my 17" snows, so the measurement won't be exactly the same...

Make a perpendicular line to the ground, intersecting your roundel until you touch the wheel well. Then take the distance from the wheel well to the bottom edge of rim. Your right. It's not rocket science and should only roughly give someone an idea of what the drop would be. This obviously doesn't take any wear into account.

^ Why not measure wheel well to ground? Overall wheel & tire diameter should be pretty close between OEM & aftermarket combos, so the only variable should be wheel gap, no?

This makes more sense to me. There are no variables at play in this example.
I'll take various measurements eventually to make everyone happy, though that won't happen until at least next Friday. Car is going to the shop to get fixed today.

I was merely identifying the way BMW does it. On my car I go fender to ground. Comparing cars, with varying sidewalls, I thought the other way would be better.
Whatever. Just measure is my point, to give a rough idea.

I'll do both when I get the car back, just remind me because in all likelihood I'll forget.

I have done this before. For this exact suspension. Now i just have to find my post. Damn. If i recall though, it was .75 drop front, and .25 drop rear, or.....perfect....... Just enough to close the gap up front.

I found it. Here was my post
I HAVE IT!!!! i just installed it 4 weeks ago. Absolutely love it. (the H and R touring kit that is) yeah, the sport would be too much low and prob rub. the touring lowers front by .75, and rear by .25. Perfect. I have no pics....actuallly, hang on. Ryans 323 took a pic. Let me find it.
Go here, page 3. ryans323 took pics.

Edit: I just read some of these posts. The Touring Cup Kit Definitely lowers the car. I have ZHP. It still lowers it and it is stiffer (but still comfortable) in the zhp. All of us have the "sport" suspension from the factory. Again, the Touring kit lowers the front by .75 inches, and the rear by .25 inches. For me, this is perfect amount of low. Post any questions and ill do my best to answer.

I am at 24.25" rear, and 25" front, fender to ground. Not stock though, and not on a cupkit.

Thanks David. That's just what the H&R site says BTW. Mine being a vert disqualifies my measurements as the drawp is different.
