People with Navs, there is a hidden menu with a variety of settings such as the navigation volume setting:
1) With key at position KL-R (radio) turn Nav system on.
2) Press right knob to acknowledge the "Accept" screen.
3) You should be in radio mode (not in CD Player, or CD changer).
4) Inmediately press and hold the SEL button for some 8-10 seconds.
5) You will enter the service mode, and the first screen will be the Software Version of your radio firmware.
6) Use the < and the > buttons to select the different options.
7) Go to the option named TP Volume.
8) With the presets buttons 1 and 2 you will decrease and increase respectively the Navigation voice prompts minimum volume.
9) Once finished, turn radio off and then on for activation.
other options in this menu are:
GAL = vehicle dependent radio volume (1>6, where 6 is the highest volume increase over the original setting)
DSP = Not applicable for 3 Series
TP= Navigation Minimum volume (-9>+9)
AF= Not applicable for 3 Series
