Haven't been to the track or an AutoX since about May. Put the ZHP in storage from June until last Friday when I picked it up from my Dad's place. Got 2 new tires on the track wheels, drive it up to Nor Cal, and I'm planning to take it to Thunderhill Friday. Hopefully it won't rain. Last time I drove Thunderhill was 2 years ago and it was only my 3rd, 4th, and 5th track day, i.e. I had no idea what I was doing. Now I sort of have some idea.

Although rain does suck, it's one of the best learning tools you can get.

In for videos! Didn't you almost sink your ZHP at this track, or was that another course?

I sank my ZHP at Buttonwillow in December 2010. Luckily the "lake" I sunk it in was only 7" deep so no hydrolock, no muddy water flooding the interior. But I did end up with dried mud on top of steering rack, inside rear bumper cover, in the transmission tunnel, etc.

Lol at the Jack-O-Lantern on the rear window!
Your lines look nice and smooth.

Gawd I wish my club allowed cameras on my helmet or on the window. The rule is so friggin' stupid; no cameras unless they are hardware mounted AND tethered. :mad

BP, I ran into that rule once, not sure where it was. Probably BMW CCA at Thunderhill when I was using the suction cup mount on the inside of the windshield? But in the LA chapter they let me hard mount it on PVC pipe bolted to the passenger headrest. Now I mostly mount it on my helmet, which is not the best idea in a violent crash.
Here's my rental car Wednesday or Thursday morning in a Boston suburb.
