I found this on the net while geeking out on trivia.
IIHS. frontal offset seems to be the only test they performed on the E46. Did well.

NHTSA. Did pretty good except an exclamation mark for side driver: "Safety Concern Driver: Due to the intrusion of the left front door during the side impact test, the interior door panel struck the pelvis of the driver dummy, causing a high pelvic acceleration. High pelvic accelerations, in excess of 130 g's, have a higher likelihood of Pelvic fracture."

I noticed while digging around the complaints that they have posted people's complaints about the ZKW burnt bowls.
