Joopy asked me to take some measurements.....so I took on the task....which was not all that easy.

First....I had to figure out how to get an accurate profile of the inside of the bore of a style 135 rim. I tried to use paper to make an impression, but it wasn't going to be accurate enough. So....I remembered I had a profile tool for cutting molding.

But...this tool was too large to get into the bore. So.....equipped with the dremel and OshKosh Defense safety glasses, I made it fit.

Inserted several times and came up with the following profile.

I then transferred the profile and cleaned up the drawing. I then place a machinist rule next to it, just for comparison. The rule is standard, and my measurements are metric. I only had a standard rule.

Anyway....Joopy.....let me know if you need any clarification measurements and I will do my best. This should get you close. I have a feeling you are going to need to test fit, and custom fit whatever you're making.

Is the last pick upside down? It's perfect on internet via laptop, and upside down on TT, and webview via droid.

So, if I'm seeing this right, the center cap would clip into the recess that is 8.3mm deep? And I also see no diameters of the bore?? That's what I really need...

Starting from spoke side, at top (widest point) it measures 70.77mm.

At the first lip its 67.92mm.

Beyond that I will need to figure out a diff measurement method.

Safety glasses, FTW!! Wouldn't want an errant micrometer to put your eye out.

LOL, I know why you wore them.

New Product Development in Oshkosh, WI, our version of Monster Garage, if I'm ever able to get you there I don't think I'll ever get you out. It is by far the coolest place I've ever been for us wrench-turner wanna-be's. Whatever they need, they get, they built me a HMMWV with one of our patented suspension and a new 21st century powertrain in 3 weeks, I was and still am in awe and loving those guys.

The only place more fun is our test & demo center right next door, 28 acres of the most rugged terrain you've ever seen, they give you an orientation lap, toss you the keys and tell you to not hurt yourself plus don't worry, they can fix anything on the trucks if you break them. I don't go there often enough but have great rapport with the T&D guys, they'll cover me.

Bump.

I assume 2 things.

1. You still love me, and
2. This is a dead idea now.
