Do sway bars wear out?

Simple and possibly stupid question here but do sway bars wear out? I'm looking at picking up a used set of bars w/ about 15k on them and was wondering if there's any downside to buying used ones?

No, the bar itself cannot 'wear out'

If anything, the bushings wear out

I guess it could get bent or severely dented but it is the rubber bushings that wear out as Nike indicated.

As long as you don't have any major stress factors on the bars, you'll be fine.

I do not know what the exact factors where in this instance but a buddy of mine just snapped and I mean snapped an eibach sway on his mustang at auto x

I am sure he had a stress crack in it or something.
