So I have cracks in my wood trim and I want to get it taken care of. I have always been completely in love with the black wood grains. SOOOO sexy. Dont like the aluminum or carbon fiber. I just love that black/grey marbled wood look.
Here is my idea. Should I wrap my trim in this Rvinyl stuff then bring the pices to a shop to have them glossed? I would imagine that once glossed, it will bring a realistic dimmension to the wrap and look like real wood?

Or should I go piano black? I am leaning toward the wood grain look...
BTW, I have all black interior.

Wrap is so easy and looks awesome but maybe not in wood. If wrapping I'd go CF or else just paint

I love that look. Check out the thread discussion along the lines of "we don't need no stinking cubes". I think Justin had the part # for a trim that looks close to what you posted, but it's NLA (at least here in the US). I've asked someone to check to see if it's available from Europe.

Ive checked that out before but that price for that trim is INSANE! I can do my trim for a hundo with vinyl and a glossing. I think by glossing, it will give dimension and look legit.
I may be the first to do this lol. I am planning on making this happen in the next 3-4 months. I am moving to Colorado Nov 1 and then looking for work so I'm gonna be slammed and strapped for awhile but it's on the "to do asap" list. Along with a full suspension refresh, new brakes, and new wheels and tires. Gonna be blowing some money.

It is, but I'd be tempted if I could find it.

I have to agree with John here....even though you will shell out lots of money for the interior trim, it will be OEM and legit so to speak....perfect. If you're keeping your car for a very long time then the money spent would be worth it in my opinion, otherwise do the wrap. I'd be willing to say that compared to the OEM piece, the wrap will fall far short of perfection.....

Bro, if you don't have the funds, to buy the trim, I'm interested in seeing you do this. I think you can pull it off nicely. Take your time on the wrap, and then get it cleared. I think it will look great.

Yeah, John, the Birch Anthracite Trim is NLA.
Mike, I found some interesting trims if you want more information for a specific look, PM me.

I think you should accept cubes into your life. I have black cubes you can buy.

I love my black cubes...But they look kinda cheesy to people who don't know about the black cube trim. I think Dan'es suggestion is where I'll go with it...

They're technically called "black and silver cube" trim. Some jackass wrote a column in Roundel making them plural, calling them "black and silver cubes," saying he wanted silver cubes and was jealous of Brett's silver cubes. No idea where it originated before that, but I am sure it wasn't said columnist's invention. It's spread here - a simple slight detail, but still enjoyable nonetheless.

Dane....I know you like it....;)
CF is not for everyone.....but I like it ;) If I were to change out my CF look in the ///M then I would order a brand new set of silver cube interior trim for coupes and put it in the ///M...

I love the carbon look. The cube look is too close to carbon NOT to switch over to it.

Silver cube in my ZHP looks very different from the 2x2 weave carbon fiber trim I have in my ///M.
Not that I would get rid of my carbon fiber trim but would change things out a bit from time to time :) silver to black and so forth...

I actually prefer the cube trim to the carbon fiber. Maybe its the glossiness I dont like about the CF. Show me dry CF and maybe i'd change my mind.
