View Full Version : Targa Newfoundland 2012
It’s September and there will be racing in the streets of Newfoundland this week for the 10th year. I have to do this someday, at least as a spectator.

Targa Newfoundland is the first and only event of its kind to be held in North America. At 10 years young, every aspect of our high end automotive adventure just keeps getting better. As motorsport enthusiasts, we know that limits were made to be pushed and cars were designed to be driven.

I saw something about it this weekend on TV. Apparently it is almost always raining there. Looked like very tight places in spots.

Targa is a race based on class of car. It is VERY competitive competion. We have a couple in our BMW chapter how are multiple winners with everything from a new BMW M5 to a 2002. Do a google search and you will get a wealth of info!

Had to add this photo - Bill Arnold in his seventh and last Targa Newfoundland attempt - broken suspension (repaired) and still finished first in class, seventeenth overall.

Motherpussbucket.
Why? Why is this thread here. I have a lot of weaknesses and a 1700km tarmac rally has an attraction.
After Silver State Classic, the Coupe needs a cage.
